Dr. Michelle Cecille Powell, DO

I work for an oral surgeon that was referring a mutual patient to have a CBCT scan done. The documentation that was given to the front desk must of not been a routine document that is usually given so they contact our office. The young lady that I initially speak with begins to question the form and becomes upset that we gave her a form to take there. As I begin to explain why and for what it was given she continues to talk over me, CURSES on the phone as she is talking to me and hangs up on me. I then proceed to call the office back and I speak with a Ms. Shana from the referral department. I ask to speak with a supervisor and she immediately tells me that he's not available. Continues to talk to me about the referral without giving me a chance to explain that the prior young lady was unbelievably rude and she disregards my request to speak with a person I charge. As I am speaking with her she places me on hold without excusing herself and a gentleman comes on the line. Mind you, I… have no idea who he is and begins to talk. Saying that he will call me when he has time. When I them try to speak he starts speaking loudly and tells me " oh no you are not going to disrespect me" and hangs up!!! I am lost for words that a medical facility would be so rude. last but not least the man shows up to my office and begins to shout in front of many patients asking for the supervisor. He then proceeds to threatened me with bodily harm. The police was called and a police report was created. It is sad that Dr. Michelle C. Powell would have people represent her practice in this manner.

I have to be completely honest. I would recommend the nurse practitioner (Valerie), before I recommend Dr. Powell. Valerie's diagnosis have always been correct in my experience she is great, and she's usually the person that see at my appointments. I have only actually seen Dr. Powell once, and her diagnosis was correct but she prescribed me the wrong medication, which I found out after taking it for two weeks, twice a day. The wait time is never long, and the staff is courteous.
