Dr. Michelle Shute, MD

i feel bad giving anyone a one star review, but she was the worst doctor I ever saw. Rude, condescending, terrible at communicating. She made me feel like my questions and worries were stupid. It was an awful experience.

The whole experience was terrible a real stuck up MDthe know it all syndrome

My husband saw Dr. Shute the same day we requested an appointment for a refill of an anti-anxiety medication that was a controlled substance. This was a delicate matter, and she listened carefully. In my husband's words, she was perceptive, knowledgeable, and warm. We will both go to her when our regularly assigned and overworked primary care doctor isn't available.

I experienced the same treatment as the other comments below me. Rude, condescending tone, and doesn't listen to your concerns. She just cuts you off when you try to ask a question, and writes up a bunch of prescriptions you don't even need. God awful. Mind you, this is when she worked at Kaiser back in 2007. I was wondering why she wasn't on their website anymore. Makes sense now. Has her own practice and STILL doing the same thing. Couldn't submit my rating without leaving the stars blank. She doesn't even deserve ONE star.

Dr. Shute is the worst doctor I have ever seen in history! I went to her for a problem with my hip she said it was arthritis and sent me home with some spin pills. After continuing pain I asked for a second opinion and ended up needing a full hip replacement! Don't bother she is not a caring doctor and acts too stuck up she needs to not have patient contact! I've filled out several reviews through Sutter Health and they do noting total waste of time to fill out!

As we speak I am filing a complaint to the Medical Board of California. She is the worst Doctor I have ever seen during my life in 3 different continents. She is not coherent, not interested or want to listen or do an accurate diagnose, lack of follow up and misinforming the patient, holding a critical information from the patient are a few. Just stay away from this Doctor.

Even before Ive seen dr. Shute, nurse told me that doctor will have only 15 min. for me. When Dr. Shute came, she didnt listen to me. I had to repeat my symptoms three time before she heard me. This is not first time that Ive left her office really upset with the treatment Ive received. The only positive thing that I can say about dr. Shute that she is very quick with forwarding test results to me by e-mail. I will look for another physician.

Overall OK. I think her clinical skills are good and she respects that as a patient I also need a partner in my health care, not just someone to tell me what she thinks I should do.
