Dr. Michelle Steffers, MD

I encountered this doctor in the observation unit at Strong. She was rude, impatient, insensitive, and arrogant. I asked to speak to her privately outside the room of the patient I was with and told her as calmly as I could that I would never treat someone the way she had treated the patient and that if she didn't begin acting in a kind and respectful manner I would ask for a different doctor. Regardless of how knowledgeable she may or may not be, I would definitely NOT recommend her.

This doctor is just plain arrogant. She spoke to her computer, never looked up and rolled her eyes. Prescribed med I was allergic to. no examination at all. Condescending. No call back with my questions. Everyone I know is fleeing from this doctor. Obviously an unhappy person.

I appreciate that Dr. Steffers is to the point. After changing doctors several times with the Canandaigua Medical Group it is reassuring to find a doctor with such expertise. Knowledge is much more important than warm and fuzzy to me. I checked her credentials before starting as a new patient.

I was told this would be a good replacement for my long time physician who retired -- NOT!!! Prescribed medicine I was allergic to, constantly cancels appointments, rude, condescending, incomplete examination, does not look up from her computer, does not listen to me, does not follow up, does not have ANY people skills - WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS DOCTOR.

This Doctor has relocated to Canandaguia Medical Group,My previous Dr, retired and thought this would be a good choice.BAD CHOICE !!!!Have seen her twice,curt,condescending,does not listen to your concerns. I went for my regular cardiac visit x2 didnt listen to my heart or carotids,tried to bring up issues and she just went back to original thought,signed a script for DAW AS written,said she never did this and threw in down in front of me on deskSigned "Looking for a new provider"

This Docter seems to be riding out her time to retirement. She has the worst bedside manner ever and is very close minded. A bully would be a better term. She gets mad if you question her and thinks she is the only one that has a brain.

I don't know why I did not walk out of the office. Maybe I had more manners. Should have checked reviews first. NO MORE OF HER FOR ME.

Non-caring, cursory exam, wish I had stayed home. Will leave the practice if I have to encounter her again.

I have had several doctors over the last 5 years, but I have never encountered such a caring and compassionate physician as Dr Steffers. She always listens to me and I know that she cares about me. She seems very smart and has helped me with all my problems. I don't think I will be looking for another doctor anytime soon.
