Dr Olvera is amazing!! Very caring, thorough and a great listener!! I’ve seen her for 15yrs and I couldn’t ask for a better dr!!!

I’m surprised no one has sued this woman for malpractice. When two friends including myself, experience the same situation with our pregnancies, something is not right. Her NP violating HIPPA like nobody’s business should be a red flag. When I was spread eagle on the table, she allowed other staff to walk in freely. Stay FAR away from this doctor.

As I've had complications withmy delivery, this Dr Olvera and her nurse practitioner Sherri carter both denied me additional time off work for leave. With them knowing I don't have a support system here, all my family is in another state, they don't care. Dr. Olvera makes you feel rushed and she just doesn't care. When i do have another pregnancy this office will definitely not be getting me again as a patient

Based on other reviews, it seems as though very little has changed since Dr. Olvera delivered my child 10 years ago. My child has had delays in their development due to the extremely traumatic delivery I had where she was forced to use forceps. We should have had a C section, my child was simply too big. But, she didn't want to go into surgery that day, so she decided to induce me instead, knowing full well that my child was already approx 9 pounds. It was my first child, and while my intuition was SCREAMING at me about doing a C section instead, I trusted her. I did not understand the options available to me then. Now, my child struggles with specific delays that are very commonly associated with the damage that can be done by using forceps. When you know something is wrong as a mother, you just know. I know what this Dr. did to my child, and how it has affected them since. I had post partum depression and she acted like it was no big deal, just wrote a Px for something and never… followed up. Never suggested a therapist or anything else, just a prescription and out the door you go. She had absolutely no compassion during my post partum check ups and only when I ended back up in the ER a few days after the delivery did she act like she was even interested in what was happening with my body and mind. Due to the traumatic delivery of my child, I endured 3rd and 4th degree tears due to the fact that my child was SO large at delivery. I have had physical complications on multiple levels ever since. I have had 2 miscarriages since then as well, and am convinced that my body was forever damaged internally becasue she forced me to be induced, telling me "you don't want a C section, you don't want to go through that." Well, turns out, it may have been a better choice. Maybe my womb wouldn't have been so damaged after she had "helped" me deliver and another one could grow properly. But, now there's so much scar tissue internally that I know I will only have my one child. We have given up on trying for another, as my (now) Dr. says it could take more miscarriages before a pregnancy may come to term. I am sick of the heartache over this all, and wanted to warn any potential patients considering her services. Her practices are not based on the best interest of the individual patient, only on what she feels like and has previously scheduled for the day.

I had terrible experience with Dr Olvera, she will make you feel rushed in your visits, you will feel like just another patient. As a pregnant woman you want to feel that connection with the Dr that will be helping you bring your child into the world, but Dr Olvera is not the one. Do not go with her.

I think Dr. Olvera is a wonderful doctor. She is very laid back and gentle, while at the same time being very professional and informative. I was very nervous going in to my last appointment and she immediately put me at ease.

I really love having Dr. Villa-Olvera as my doctor. I am currently pregnant with my second child and both experiences have been really good. Her bedside manner comes across as very laid back (not overly stressed about things) and that is really good for me - doesn't get me worked up and worrying about things. In spite of coming across as laid back, I have had a few complications in my pregnancy and she has always been diligent and on-top of the issues and ensuring I get the proper care. Love her!

Dr. Olvera is a highly professional and compassionate doctor. She has been my gynecologist for over 10 years and has always given me excellent care. She always spends as much time as I need in discussing any problems or concerns that I may have. Dr. Olvera is always caring and considerate when I have a visit with her. I highly recommend Dr. Olvera.

Saw her before and after the birth of my son. During my pregnancy, she was disinterested, and went through the motions. It's just her job. Everyone is just another patient; another copay. That's what the world has become, though. No compassion. After my pregnancy, she seemed not as put out. Maybe she shouldn't be in obstetrics, if pregnant women annoy her so much.
