Dr. Michelle Yu is a good doctor. Her demeanor is kind. Her action is soft. She is excellent doctor

Dr Yu seemed very knowledgeable and explained things thoroughly. I had lab work done and she called me within a week to discuss my results. Was very pleased with my visit and follow up.

Even though I grew up in this area (SG), I have always driven out to Cedars Sinai for my medical care because I didn't feel comfortable with the "Chinese-style" doctors in this area. Call me stuck up. But now as I get older, I find it tiresome to drive so far. My friends all seem to like Dr Yu very much, so I thought I would give it a try. I was worried at first because her receptionist was not too cheerful. As I spoke to her in Chinese however, she opened up a lot and actually very courteous. I guess people are just more comfortable in their native tongue. This is Monterey Park after all , my bad. Anyway, more importantly, I was so surprised by Dr Yu. She looks so much younger than her age that I thought I was seeing an assistant. I really dread the horrible pap thing every year, and she made me some comfortable quickly. And for some reason, my pap smear didn't hurt like it usually does. She really has gentle hands. She took the time to explain my questions thoroughly and gave me… some cream for a skin condition she found during my exam that I didn't even remember to bring up since I have just lived with it for so long. Overall, I am really glad to have found myself a great doc and I guess I am embarrassed to say that I was wrong about the "Chinese" doctors. She is even better than my old female doctor at Cedars Sinai.

This was my first visit with Dr. Yu. I will start with the negatives. The office is cluttered and disorganized. The receptionist, although somewhat friendly, has an abrasive delivery and can speak to you without making eye contact which can not only be rude, but also makes communication difficult. She waved me in from the waiting room while she was on the phone and pointed straight ahead; I was not sure where to go as there were several rooms straight ahead. When I went in to have my vitals taken, that nurse was very friendly and conversational. However, this room had no chairs and is incredibly disorganized. I waited only a short time in the waiting room (less than 10 minutes) and approximately 10 minutes in the exam room before being seen by Dr. Yu. Dr. Yu made a great first impression. Although she has rapid speech, she is extremely knowledgeable and will educate you about your condition and any concerns related to it. She will also inform you of all of your available… options in addition to giving you her honest opinion - in detail. She listens well and allows you the opportunity to ask questions. I did not feel rushed nor did I feel generalized; she gave me her devoted attention and provided me with answers tailored to my symptoms and needs. She was honest, informative, and patient. Her bedside manner is excellent and I would definitely refer other patients to her. I will return to her for my feminine health needs in the future.

First time seeing Dr. Yu today. She's a very kind and knowledgable doctor. Great first impression. Takes time to answer all of our questions and gave us advice on what the Dos & Don'ts for pregnancy. We can see that she's trying her best to take care of my wife & our baby. The wait time was good, 10-15 Mins only.

i would defitnately reccomend this doctor the staff is nice and the doctor is really nice and comfortable to talk to, she spends time with u and gives advice to pts..unlike other doctors that kinda just sit there and write stuff on their folders
