Dr. Micki Natural Ly, MD

I have gone to many dermatologists in my 72 years, and have a long history of various skin cancers. Upon returning to Maui after 18 years on the mainland I made an appointment with my previous Dermatologist. While waiting to be seen in his office, I saw Dr Ly’s advertisement in the Maui News. I was not impressed with the skills or communication of the Physicians’s Assistant that saw in my previous Doctor’s Kihei office. After a few months I made an appointment to see Dr Ly. Yes, I had to wait. Yes, the waiting room was jammed, and the patient rooms were crowded with supplies and sheet coverd machines. But when Dr Ly entered, she wasted no time. Asking me relevant questions as she was examining my skin. I was amazed at her quick comprehension of my needs. Her treatment was immediate and professional. She made a point to find out exactly what I was concerned about and directly addressed my concerns, educating me as she went along. I have told friends… of mine about her, and those who have seen her continue to be her patients. Maybe you should see her too. Carole Withers

Dr.Ly was very curtious,respectful and answered all of my questions about treatment.

I didn't understand the medication she was prescribing and was not offered or explained options. I ask her about it and she got very upset and short with me, said " Read the instructions" I decided to seek another opinion. The second doctor prescribed another medication because the medication she prescribe would have a reaction with medications I take. She never asked what I was taking or ask any questions of my medical past. The second Doctor said it is not the first time and doesn't have a favavorable opinion of her.

Long wait, short visit

Dr Ly solved three major hand issues, discovered Basil cell carcinoma on my lower jaw A growth (more than one) on my cowlick below my hair I would not change her as my dermatologist . I have the options if I decided to seek another dermatologist I won't

Honestly you will lose money after each visit. Every appointment I had was about a 10-20 mins wait to get called in, then another 20-30 mins wait in the room. Then a 30 - 60 sec chat with the Dr. Finally she will make you make a non sense appointment and you lose money. Repeat.

If I could give her a 0 I would. DO NOT GIVE HER ANY OF YOUR MONEY! Both she and the receptionist are incredibly rude. I was there at 9:55 for a 10am appointment and there were 2 people already waiting. After 1 went in I asked if she was running late and I was told 3 people were ahead of me. I was appalled and asked why they stacked appointments like that. Then, within 5 minutes I was suddenly told to go to a back room (I guess because I complained). The back room should be called a horror room. There was supplies piled up everywhere, it was cluttered and felt very unclean. I felt gross just sitting in there. I felt like I was in some sort of underground illegal or 3rd world country clinic. I actually took pictures I was so horrified I was in a Dr.'s office. She came in and spent 30 seconds looking at my scalp and then wanted to rerun blood tests that I had just had done. She didn't examine me or ask me any pertinent questions about my condition. I was stunned. Before I left, I told… her that the condition of her office felt very unclean and unprofessional. Her answer was, "so you don't want to come back." I said, what I would like is a clean dr.'s office. I called my insurance company and complained about her and advised them not to pay for the visit.

I have known Dr. Ly for 10 years and find her to be very professional. She takes me in on a moments notice, and on one occasion saved my life when I had a severe infection.

I've been coming in and out of this office for the past 9 months and still NO solutions!!! When I try to ask her something or ask for a different prescription she tells me no and still puts me on the same stupid meds! I've gone to Dr. Marden who got my condition better in a month than this so called dr. don't waste your time. She's only after your money.

The WORST doctor ever! I've came in for an office visit for acne. I filled out the paper and got into the room fast which was great. I sat in the room for TWO FRICKEN HOURS!!! She only has 3 rooms and you can hear her going into the other 2 rooms laughing up a storm. I asked the receptionist if she was going to see me next, and she said yes. I heard the girl tell her that I wanted to be seen already and the doctor sighed hard as if it was an inconvenience and STILL went to see other patients. When she came in she asked me why I was here and I started talking and she kept interrupting me and trying to finish my sentences and telling me about my condition that she hasn't even looked at and starts telling me what prescriptions she's going to put me on and before I can ask her anything she's out the door! when I came out I asked if I could ask her a question and she sighed again as if I'm wasting her precious time. She put me on medication and creams for 2 weeks and my condition has… worsened!!! when I came back and told her about it she rolls her eyes and tells me I'm using it wrong when I followed her instructions and the pharmacy's instructions. She's rude, unprofessional and down right cold hearted. All the other reviews are spot on. don't even waste your time with her!
