I asked for a refill for my sons asthma medication at the pharmacy, but I guess they needed to get an ok from the Dr first. I get a call from the female nurse asking if my son is wheezing, I explained that he wasn't and that I wanted to have the medication just in case he does, so that I can have it handy. Well to my surprise she told me to call the doctor when my son was wheezing so that I could get the medication then. What!? Instead of me having the medication handy they want me to wait until my son is wheezing or having an asthma attack in order for me to get the medication!! Long story short, I didn't get the refill. Doesn't make sense at all!!!!!!!!

I always make an appointment for my kids with the doctor, but the nurse practitioner is the one that seems them even if the doctor is there. I always ask for an appointment with the doctor and they assure me that the doctor will see them, but he never does. Last time I walked in with me daughter because she had a severe allergy you could see it all over her face and neck, the lady in the front told me that they couldn't see her unless she had an appointment. After I explained to her that I didn't want the doctor to see her all that I needed was a prescription for the allergy, since my daughter suffers from allergies I already knew which medicine she needed, the lady reluctantly told me to have a sit.
