Meet Dr. Stephan Prô, orthopedic surgeon and fellowship trained in sports medicine. Dr. Prô completed undergraduate studies at Wake Forest University where he competed in track and cross-country earning all ACC honors. He received his medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine followed by internship and orthopaedic residency programs at the Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland. His fellowship in Sports Medicine was completed with the Santa Monica Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Group in California where he served as team physician for the LA Galaxy, Chivas USA and the Amgen Tour of California.
Dr. Prô spent time on a medical mission to Haiti performing orthopedic surgeries immediately following the earthquake in January 2010. He has experience in hip arthroscopy, cartilage restoration and advanced arthroscopic shoulder procedures. He is one of the team physicians for the University of Portland athletics and has worked with the Men and Women U.S. …Soccer National teams (World Cup).
Dr. Prô’s favorite activities include soccer, running, road cycling, hiking, traveling and spending time with his family.
