Dr. Milan Hasmukh Sanghavi, MD

I was a patient of Dr. Sanghavi for a number of years as I suffer from lower extremity nerve damage and require braces for walking. Recently, the braces broke and Medicare requires a medical provider to document the need for replacements in order to cover the very expensive cost of a new pair. Dr. Sanghavi was able to see me promptly and provided a letter of medical necessity for the prosthetics company. After several weeks, I inquired if the braces were ready and was told the wording of Dr. Sanghavi’s letter had not satisfied the Medicare criteria and the prosthetics company had requested an addendum to include the required language. Several weeks later I inquired if the braces were ready and was told that Dr. Sanghavi’s office had not responded to the latest request. I called and spoke to his office assistant who denied ever receiving the request for an addendum. But as we spoke, she checked her computer and found the request. Weeks had been wasted while she had not even looked at… the request. I subsequently inquired again of the prosthetics company and was told Dr. Sanghavi had replied but still had not included the specified language required by Medicare. The prosthetics company said they had made several more attempts to contact Dr. Sanghavi’s office for the necessary documentation but did not receive a response. I called his office and left a voice mail pleading for them to supply the needed documentation so that I could get my braces. I received no reply. 2 months later, he had still not provided the documentation so that I could get my braces for walking. I had no choice but to end my association with Dr. Sanghavi and find a new neurologist.

Dr. Sanghavi is an excellent doctor AND a genuinely kind person. He takes the time to listen, works with you to diagnose and treat your medical issues, and is extremely knowledgeable about even rare conditions. If I hadn't moved out of state, I would have kept him as my neurologist forever!

I have been to multiple neurologist and Dr.Sanghavi is the only one who took time to listen and i did not feel rushed out of the office. He is a great doctor. I recommend him to everyone.

After waiting more than 2 months for an appointment, I was finally taken into the back room the doctor never did come I waited 1 hour and 8 minutes before I left terrible impression to make on a new patient

I am so happy to have Dr. Sanghavi as my neurologist. He has taken the number and frequency of my migraines seriously and has spent a lot of time trying to get me on the correct preventative medicine. The fact that I have kidney stones complicates the process but he always remembers that fact. He speaks to me as a person which is hard to find in a doctor. I don't ever feel uncomfortable telling him anything.

I left the last neurologist I was seeing because he tended to tell me how I was feeling. Dr Sanghavi was very attentive, sympathetic and understanding while being very knowledgeable about my migraines. The treatment he put me on worked immediately and he even gave me the latest medicine for relief in case I did get a migraine but I didn't need it. I am SO glad I was referred to him and will GLADLY continue to see him as a patient!

I have been Dr. Sanghavi's patient since April, 2010, when I was diagnosed with epilepsy. I have complete confidence in his skills and perception. A special quality about him (that one doesn't always find in physicians,) is that he listens and takes in everything I have to say, and has responded so rapidly and adequately to my concerns with good advice that it has made a noticeable improvement to my health more than once. His "bedside manner" is to show great interest while also being easygoing, and it really puts one at ease and facilitates sharing any health concerns. In short, a great doctor!

In the past 6 years I have seen A LOT of doctors and because of my experiences, I go to a new patient appointment a bit guarded. Dr. Sanghavi immediately put me at ease. I was able to tell him everything that was going on with me, he listened intently, he made me feel like a valued patient and I was comfortable downloading all of my information to him. I left feeling so much better having found my new neurologist and I recommend him more than any other doctor I have met in Maryland! And the receptionist was super nice, too! It was an overall fantastic, 5-star experience!

Dr Sanghavi is a great doctor I would recommend him to anyone .He is very accurate on his diagnosis his bed side manner is great he is a good listener to. My only problem with his office is his staff he needs to fire all his staff and get new staff. They are not very good on making appointments and lord for bid you need a c pap machine you will have to wait over a month and then they still wont find you one throw the insurance company. I had to take it upon myself to call my insurance company and get me one even tho I told his office at first a list of companys that would take my insurance. They refused to listen to me and make things harder then they had to be.They are snotty and rude I really cant see Dr Sanghavi having a staff like everyone of the expleshy the one that runs the place. If you can get pass all the office bull crap it is definitely worth seeing Dr Sanghavi hes great. Hope he reads this and gets new staff I think he would get more people in there if he did...thank you
