Dr. Milton Kwai Leong Wong, MD

He should retire. He plunged me into sever hyperthyroidism to the point that I couldn't even talk from the shortness of breath and palpitations because he gave me meds for the wrong condition. His PA doesn't return phonecards and is rude. She asked me what I wanted now after I called her to see why she didn't call me back. I went in to see the dr and he yelled at me. Should have walked out because I just got worse with his medication. He should retire.

My daughter has been going to Dr. Wong for over 5 years and honestly, we should have changed doctors long ago but we suffered through because we didn't want to go through the hassle of finding another doctor and starting all over. In general, Dr. Wong seems knowledgable enough but he is often very rude and has no tact. He also hasn't followed up on some nodules my daughter has on her thyroid that still bother her and seem to have grown. He did send her for some tests a couple of years ago but has not bothered with it since and it is getting concerning. He also rushes through appointments quite regularly which is ridiculous because of his constantly horrible wait times. We have had the 1st or 2nd appointment of the day numerous times and still had to wait an hour or longer for the appointment. We have never had a wait less than an hour and more often than not, the wait is 2 hours or more. Today was the final day we will ever make the trip to his office. We had an… appointment this morning and checked in a few minutes early as we always do. We sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes past our appointment time until the office manager called us back up to the front desk to say we could not see the doctor today because they do not take Medicaid as a secondary insurance. She continued on to say that because my daughter has Medicaid, the primary insurance would not pay for the appointment at all. My daughter has had the same insurance since the day she started seeing Dr. Wong. She has never used the Medicaid as the secondary insurance because we were aware that he did not take it. We have always paid the co-pay as was necessary due to only using the primary insurance and the primary insurance has always paid the claims to Dr. Wong as they should have. Not only was this entire conversation incorrect, but the woman talking to us was extremely rude and condescending. We tried explaining that the insurance has never been an issue but she would not hear it and continually interrupted while we were speaking. She never once apologized for the inconvenience or for the fact that we wasted over 45 minutes sitting in the waiting room until they decided it was finally important enough for them to bring us up to say we could not see the doctor anyway. It was unbelievably rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. Please be sure to think twice about going to see Dr. Wong so you do not have to end up in the same situation we did.

I had thyroid cancer and I had a and this doctor and his staff are the wors in las vegas since the first day I saw him they been not care and do nothing about me from paper work to medication or even referrals i need to do. Do I radiation pill they been loosing every single peper work or not get the patology report from others doctors for 2 months untill I get everything for them they just say they been wainting for them to send it but it took over 2 months untill I got them for them. It's been 2 weeks that I call for medication that I need they said they will send it to the farmacy but I am still waiting I. They don't really care you can die in their hands if you want to have a good doctor and a place that really care about you do not go there please this place is dangerous do not put your life in risk because they are very negligent

I have had other endocrinolgist in the past and I can say that he has provided me with knowledge about my type 2 diabetes care that other doctors have not bather to share. He spend any amount of time you need inside the observation room and listens to everything you have to say. Yes, you wait sometime in the waiting area but that is because he never rushes his patients.

After switching over to this location because of the proximity to our home, my husband had his first appointment with Dr Wong for his Hashimotos. Blood work was ordered and at their appointment, Dr Wong lowered his medication because he felt it was high based on his levels. After about a week, all of the symptoms he had before returned. Lethargy, joint pain, irritability, brain fog, etc. We called Dr Wong's office to ask he be returned to his previous dosage and were told he needed to return for an additional appointment and more blood work. Really? What choice did we have at that point? Blood work was done yesterday and came back within normal levels. The receptionist, Latasha called to let us know that the medication would not be changed because he was in range. I mentioned to her that not only did the blood work results matter, but the symptoms were also important and that over the course of 4 years, we've been through this before. After going back and forth for several minutes, she… said "Do you have "M.D." after your name? No? Then I'm going to go off what the doctor says because he does." After arguing with her over what it's like LIVING through the actual situation versus reading numbers off a piece of paper, I told her I wanted the blood work results faxed so we could return back to the previous doctor within the practice. After hanging up, I called the office across town and was informed we would no longer be allowed to be seen at either location and that we could come in and pick up the medical records in person. It's really unfortunate when you have people in the medical field that lack empathy for their patients. Even after asking if he could speak with Dr Wong personally to explain what was going on, I was told no because his levels were fine and the medication would not be adjusted. Fortunately enough, we were able to locate the original doctor who diagnosed him and scheduled an appointment there. (Dr. Michael Uzmann.... who, not surprisingly, has far better reviews.) I'm sure there are some people who are really happy with Dr. Wong and his staff of callous robots. Hopefully they never run into a situation where their diagnosis requires more than just reviewing test results.

Wife had 8:30 AM appointment. After waiting one hour with no action she asked the receptionist how much longer it would be/how many more patients were ahead of her. Wife was told that there was one more patient waiting in the outside waiting area and three more in interior waiting rooms AND the doctor was running an hour behind so she would, most likely be seen around 11-11:30 AM. When my wife said that this wasn't right, the receptionist told my wife she should have allotted at least 3-4 hours for her visit. When my wife told the receptionist she was going to leave the receptionist couldn't have cared. When asked for her medical records the receptionist said that my wife wasn't entitled to them as they were, now, the personal property of the medical office. AVOID THIS DOCTOR AT ALL COSTS .

Very bed thyroid cancer doctor, doesn't do proper throat procedures. Saw him 5 years for prior thyroid cancer that had spread. He did biopsy that was unnecessary and very painful. When problems occur his response CALL 911 OR GO TO EMERGENCY would not recommend him for thyroid cancer

My experience with Dr. Wong has been horrible! He tried to rush me into surgery. After an ultrasound showed that there are potential tumors, i did a biopsy. When i went to his office to receive my biopsy results, he walked in, said hello, and then proceeded to tell me that i had cancer in my thyroid. When i tried to ask him questions, he yelled at me, "you have cancer! why are you asking me that!!". I was shocked. I just received possibly the worst news i have ever gotten and then he goes on to yell at me?? He then goes on to say, it's okay. As long as you get the brand product after surgery you can live for 20 years! what?? how can a doctor imply this? After this i went to Johns Hopkins Hospital where my doctor told me that it is absurd to say that you will live for 20 years only. This cancer is 99% curable. What a shame on Dr. Wong! On top of this, Dr. Wong would only spend 1 minute with me. On almost all my appointments with him, Dr. Wong wouldn't even sit, he would walk in,… still standing ask me how i am and then in a matter of 3 minutes he would be done and out. He is a shame to all doctors!
