Dr. Steve M Gao, MD

Dr. Gao is an excellent physician. He listened to the issues my family member was having. He provided a good treatment plan along with important information we needed to have. I highly recommend him to anyone needing a primary doctor.

Not helpful at all, very rude and doesn’t listen to his patients, talks through you when you try to explain things or ask questions. Do not recommend!

This doctor does not care about his patients. He relies on the nurses and does not do his own assessments. He has no compassion.

I gave him a one because the system would not let me submit without a rating. I couldn't think of a worse experience with a physician. He submitted a totally facetious diagnoses to my employer's insurance company. This cost me my claim and when I returned to work people were looking at me like I was faking an illness. Also, he thought it was funny that he filled out all my paperwork wrong. His nurses refuse to call you back when you call for test results or with questions.

Don't expect any follow up or test results without hounding staff. Also when Dr. Gao is out of office, no one covers for him.

Dr. Gao is awesome!!!!!!!!!! He takes his time with you!!!! So kind!!!!!!!! Knows what he is doing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My huband and I love him!!!!!!!!

Dr. Gao relocated from MI to Abilene, TX. I am fortunate I selected him as my primary care physician. He asked questions that other docs failed to ask therefore no one else was able to pinpoint how to treat me. He thinks outside the box; he finds solutions to the problem using the "whole body concept". This is a cool guy with an effective personality and great bed side manner. The ONLY problem is he is so good that it took me 2 months to land an appointment with him. It was well worth it. Highly reccomend.
