Dr. Mindie Michelle Kavanaugh, MD

Dr. Mindie Kavanaugh is an oncologist and internal medicine physician who earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport. She completed her residency training at LSU Health Sciences and has been practicing medicine for 17 years. Dr. Kavanaugh is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Kavanaugh practices at multiple locations throughout Louisiana, including Shreveport and Monroe. She is affiliated with Ochsner Louisiana State University Health Shreveport, Abbeville General Hospital, and several other medical facilities in the region. Her clinical expertise focuses on treating colorectal cancer and colon cancer. She also helps patients manage nausea and vomiting that can occur during cancer treatment. Dr. Kavanaugh performs CT scans and provides radiation therapy services, including external beam radiation treatment.
