Dr. Minh Huu Nguyen, MD

I was a wound patient of Dr. Nguyen for 3 weeks at Encompass Rehabilitation in Henderson NV and then for the next 12 weeks at the Desert Springs Wound Care Center in Las Vegas. As far as I’m concerned, Dr. Nguyen is a miracle worker! At this writing, both my wounds are completely healed without the need for skin grafts! An emergency fasciotomy left me with 2 wounds (each 5“ x 2“) on either side of my left shin… one deep enough for the tendon to be exposed. I once told Dr. Nguyen that his deftly articulate debridement technique seemed a cross between those of Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci! His strategic use of the wound VAC allowed my skin to recover from momentary episodes of maceration. He expertly varied his choices of topical treatment... including Hydrogel, Hydrofera Blue foam, one dressing with the word “silver” in it(!), and (near the end) medical honey. What I came to refer to as Dr. Nguyen’s “magic formula” included a protein-intense diet to aid collagen… growth, coupled with a highly-restricted sugar intake. He also prescribed Magnesium Sulfate 200 MGs (15 days on/15 days off) and upped my daily dose of Vitamin C to 1000 MGs. And, voilà! TWO COMPLETELY CLOSED WOUNDS without a skin graft in sight! I can never thank you enough, Dr. Nguyen!
