Dr. Minoo Pedoem-Shapiro, MD

Dr. Shapiro is a terrible doctor and does not speak Spanish. That is a lie. She rushes in and out of the room stating that she "loves you" but does not take the time to give good care. When I have questions about things regarding my child, she tells me not to worry but does not explain anything. I will never recommend her to anyone or her practice.

I went in to talk about my depression and get a referral for a therapist. My sister came in with me, and we were waiting in the room for over an hour (this was after waiting in the waiting room for a good while). We were in there alone long enough for the automatic lights to turn off. When she came in and I told her what was going on, she belittled me and said I have no reason to be depressed, and that her son went through some things and he wasn't depressed, so I shouldn't be. Later on, she told a nurse to contact Four Winds so they could send me to a treatment center. Luckily my sister did not give consent for it. The nurse went to the receptionist in the waiting room, where my other sister was, and proceeded to badmouth me and make fun of me loud enough for my sister to hear. During this time, Dr. Shapiro disappeared multiple times to treat other patients, and when she came back she actually told me that she didn't have time for me because of the other patients. The sister that was… in the room with me finally had enough, and we left. I never got a referral for the therapist, and I never went back. When I changed to a different practice, Dr. Shapiro had the audacity to call and ask me to come back to New Windsor Pediatrics.

I went to visit Dr. Shapiro for a routine physica . Now, I know I am overweight and it has been an ongoing battle for me (if the practice ever gave me the same Dr. She would have known this) that I do work on consistently. She proceeded to tell me (at age 16 might I add) that I was "so pretty but I would be prettier if I lost weight." Good job Dr.

I've been in this office with my siter for my niece. This place is over crowded! This doctor is not a specialist, is "general" pediatrician. Her bed side manner is poor she is in and out the room in 2-3 minutes tops doesn't make eye contact or listen to parents concerns and the staff is always changing every few months.You always have a different doctor, whith different diagnosis. I will encourage my sister to find a better pediatrician.
