This Dr. is a quack. She put me on meds for schizophrenia when I was a young man and it completely altered my life. Do your research and beware of what a pill-pusher she is

My husband has seen Dr Mira for 7 months. Each time I am with him in their session. She welcomes, and encourages this group/team work. I am thrilled to be a part of such a team to help with his treatment. Dr. Mira is THE most trusted doctor we've had. She both sympathizes with his symptoms and expounds on the brain's functions (or malfunctions) in regards to his illness - with great visual examples, I might add! On their first phone call, she said this to him, "There are two things you need to know about me; 1.) The accent doesn't go away. 2.) I will make you work. She is not the doctor to go to if you just want medication -she will give you homework and she expects you to do them! I look forward to the sessions, in spite of the reason we must meet in the first place (illness). Thank you, Dr Mira!

Dr. Markiewicz listens, really... listens. You will know this because she remembers without referring to notes when she talks to you. She is honest and straight forward and expects the same. Most importantly, She truely helps and is easy to talk to. One of the most thoughtful and honest people in her field or as a person in general I have ever known.
