Dr. Mira A Vakil, MD

This doctor is very smart and caring. I hope she never retires.

I have been a patient of Dr. Vakil's for almost 2 years now. I have never had a problem getting an appointment. If it was urgent and i let them know the situation i was always accommodated appropriately. She was kind and compassionate but direct. I didn't have a long wait after arriving and she always made sure to ask if there was anything else i wanted to discuss. Her staff was pleasant. I do recommend bring your medical records with you to save time so you aren't waiting for them to retrieve them and she can give you the best care possible.

Dr. Vakil is an excellent doctor, she listens, offers plenty of feedback and is thorough. The problem is she has the most bizarre and disturbing mood swings. Her staff explains that if she has too many patients in one day she gets too stressed out. It is really a craps-shoot as to which Dr. Vakil you will get on any given day, either the kindly, knowledgeable, helpful one, or the rude, mean, angry, accusatory one. It is quite a shame. Her office staff was always kind to me.

Dr. Vakil really takes the time to make sure you are getting the treatment you need. She's the most caring doctor I have ever had. She is also willing to listen to the patient about alternative treatments.Her office staff can be a bit standoffish, but don't let that discourage you from seeing Dr. Vakil. She is uniformly excellent. I've been a patient for over 5 years.
