Dr. Mirza Moazzam-Al Baig, MD

It took three weeks to get an appointment. So I had three weeks of pain and two weeks prior to that when I went to my PCP. I checked in at the office and gave my already filled out paperwork to the receptionist. I sat down to wait. She then gave my paperwork to another patient to sign. The person signed my paperwork. Someone with her thought she said a different name. At that point, I heard the conversation and went to the receptionist and asked if it was me she wanted. She apologized, ripped the paperwork up, and I signed a new form. The office visit on a Monday with Dr. Bait, Brook, and Kim Flowers, NP went fine. I was told by the NP to call the office if they did not call me by Friday with the results of my test. I was given a nonirritant diet to follow. I was directed to the end of the hall to exit. There was an individual there who asked if I was to schedule another appointment. I was not given any paperwork regarding that nor was I told anything other than to call the… office if I didn’t hear about my test results by Friday. The results of the test would determine if any further things were to be done. So I was told ok, and I left. An hour after I arrived home, the office called and said I was to schedule a follow up visit for six weeks. The appointment was then scheduled. Not sure why it couldn’t have been done when I checked out, other than a lack of communication between various people. I did not hear the results of the test, so I called the office on Friday. The person who answered the phone could not find anything about my test, so said she would have someone call me. The office closes on Friday at noon. I stayed home and waited. No call until after 1:00. I was told my test was negative. She then scheduled a cystoscopy and I was told I would, be called about a renal test. Unfortunately I could not get the procedure for three weeks. I asked what I could do about the pain. She had no answer and told me no one was in the office, since they close at noon. She said she would tell “them” and have someone get back to me on Monday. I have not heard from anyone and it is over a week later. In fact the pain was severe enough that I cancelled a trip my husband and I were planning to take to Savannah. I felt like just a number in this office. I feel there is a problem with communication and the office is unorganized. I have yet to hear from anyone regarding the scheduling of the renal test either. I do intend to discuss my dissatisfaction with my PCP’s office, since they referred me here. The doctor might be fine. I had a brief visit with him and he was polite. I just think the office staff communication and organization needs to be better so patients feel like real people and not just a number going through the steps. I am hoping my next visits will be more positive, but at this point, I wish I had gone to a different practice.

I have been a patient for almost ten years for prostate issues , Dr Baig is very professional,all treatment l have received has had perfect results. I think he is great.
