Misty Thompson, FNP

Misty Thompson is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner, with a special interest in neurology. Misty sees individuals needing routine care, and also those requiring hospital follow-up and urgent evaluation. She has a passion for preventive healthcare and education. Her goal is to help patients find a more optimal balance in their health and well-being.

Prior to joining Western Neuro, Misty has over fifteen years experience as an inpatient critical care nurse, specialized in neurocritical care. She was also the stroke program director for the Comprehensive Stroke Program at the Carondelet Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She has spent hundreds of hours educating the EMS community, rural medical community and local community in stroke recognition and treatment.

Misty is the mother to five children. She is also a Captain in
the US Army Reserves. Outside of clinic, Misty enjoys traveling, hiking and spending time with …her family.
