Dr. Mitchell Eric Lipton, MD

Dr. Lipton who has been a great doctor has relocated from Quintin Rd. to Utica ave. no big deal accept it's almost impossible to contact the office we tried for days, 1st we were told they were renovating but still could not get through to them it has been months finally my wife got to talk to staff to find out that he let his original staff go, all of them and shares the office with another doctor. my wife had an appointment coming up that this staff knew nothing about and as it turns out he wouldn't be in the office on the day of her appointment as he is only working 3 days a week now and only till 3:30 each day and he is spending a lot of time in Florida. My wife will soon need her scrips refilled which his old staff used to do but this staff won't be able to also he has not updated his new address anywhere now we have to search for a new Doctor

Dr. LIpton is a great doctor but he can't keep up because he is overworked. His staff is terrible. He does not make any after hour calls because now you have to be a concierge patient. I recently went for a check up and I needed a letter. I needed to asked him a question the the staff wanted me to pay another co-payment. I asked them if Dr. Lipton told him that and they said I have to check with my insurance. They wouldn't answer me. I know Dr. Lipton would not charge me a co-pay just to ask him a question. The staff thinks they are the boss. Someone quit because they could not work with this staff. Dr. LIpton needs to be told that patients should not have to tolerate a staff that act like constables

Dr. Lipton knows his stuff. He enjoys his work (which is important) and takes time with his patients. I feel he may be a little overwhelmed at times. However, He has an excellent support staff! He is very smart & always hits the nail on the head with diagnosis. The one thing that he did for that no other doctor has was to actually explain to me in detail what exactly causes my illness and let me ask all the questions without running me out because he had other patients.(which most doctors do)

Great doctor. My only negative comment would be that the office charges a patient if they want a copy of a test result or something in their file at .75 cents per page. How cheap can he be. Really every other doctor provides copies as a courtesy.
