Dr. Mitra is amazing, awesome staff, very pleased with my surgery

I am VERY picky about doctors because I have had lots of bad experiences. Dr. Mitra has been outstanding and I highly recommend her. She is extremely respectful of me as her patient, and my wanting a full explanation of everything. Furthermore I was very aware of everything during both cataract surgeries she performed on me, and what was most impressive to me is how respectful and appropriate she is with the whole staff and everyone in the OR. She doesn't talk down to the nurses (as so many doctors do), and it appeared to me that she really appreciated all of her support from them!!! I highly recommend!!

We were billed for a second surgery that was done due to the doctor botching the first one, as admitted to doing so. When we disputed the charges, we received no response whatsoever after repeated attempts to communicate via phone, email and in person. In the end her charges were dropped, about 6 months later after I continually badgered them. However, we still had to pay surgery center fees and many other fees, which the doctor's office refused to pay. In the end, the eye problem was not ever resolved and the same issues are still being addressed (with different doctors!)
