Dr. Mitzi Jean Sampson, MD

the wait can be long but is worth every second. Dr. Sampson is very thorough and caught a lot that the ER doctors didn't.

Dr. Mitzi is very caring. She is very through with her assessments and gives excellent care. each and every time.

She is a very caring dr. I switched to a cheaper insurance & lost my favorite dr. She is awesome. It was hard for me to have to switch, because she really was the best. She did my kids physicals & everything. She is a great dr.

Dr. Sampson was on call at MWH on the day my husband was taken in for a somewhat mysterious illness. He also presented with regular symptoms of early onset cardiac problems and diabetes. Her diagnoses were on the money except for the mystery illness that got masked over by the other more urgent problems. He was between doctors and he and I were both so impressed by the personal interest, the spot on diagnoses as well as her ability to EXPLAIN what was going on, a talent that, in those days, many doctors had not honed. A few years later, the mystery illness popped up again and we jsut happened to be in her office. She walked in, asked what was up and when I explained, she said, "Oh, it looks like we have an out of control fever." She treated his ear infection, his excruciating headache and fever and, since we couldn't leave the car at her office, she waited until the fever was under control, the injections for the antibiotics and headache had taken hold and we all left together and… hour after all the other patients had left. I don't think it is right to expect doctors to stay overtime on a regular basis, but we were truly grateful that Dr. Sampson had chosen that day to go that extra mile for us. P.S. She also believes in using more holistic means than Rx's, if a patient wants to try an alternative method before pulling out the old prescription pad first. She is truly a gem.
