Dr. Miyoung Won, MD

Found her to be dismissive and arrogant. When I had a question, instead of going into detail, she merely repeated her single sentence. That was not professional, not courteous and non-caring. she did not encourage communication. She came across very robotic and not genuine.

I don't have enough terrible things to say about this "person". She is a disgrace to mankind. I went to her for my early pap smear and this was the worst decision I could've ever made. She lacks intelligence, empathy, compassion, positivity, and any sort of human nature. I read the reviews and now I know why and what a big mistake I made. She sent to me through various procedures for no reason except money in her pocket. Trust me when I say AVOID her at all costs. She had the nerve to leave my Pap smear results on my parents voicemail - a HIPPA violation. Also, did not ever apologize. SHE DISGUSTS ME

Disclaimer: I have waited over a year to write this review because of how upset I was when it first happened. I went to a check-up appointment at 39 weeks and 2 days pregnant. Dr. Won told me she was going to "check me for dilation." She didn't say she was going to do anything else, but I was really uncomfortable the entire time...I said, "Ouch" and, "That really hurts..." numerous times throughout the checkup while squirming, but she didn't let up. She mentioned my cervix was far back, and that's why it hurt. Then afterward she said, "I just stripped you, so that should get things started soon! You will likely start having contractions today and deliver in 2-4 days." I was shocked. She had told me she was checking for dilation--not that she was trying to induce me. I then had spotting and cramping, which is expected from that procedure (which I did not agree to). She told me if it didn't get things started, that I needed to schedule my induction for Monday or Tuesday (when I would be… one or two days overdue). I asked why I would need to be induced only one or two days over my due date (I had a very boring pregnancy--no issues whatsoever), and she was extremely pushy in that I "shouldn't go over my due date because it's not good for anyone." I am legitimately the most laid back person in general, and was super even-keel during pregnancy, but the whole situation made me angry. When I called to speak to my doctor (who is another doctor in her practice), the nurse asked me why I wanted to speak with him. I explained the situation and she told me that Dr. Won "doesn't even do that procedure and it's not in your records of the appointment so it didn't happen." I said, "Then why would she SAY that she "stripped" me and say that I would definitely deliver within 4 days? And why would I also immediately have spotting/cramping afterward?" The nurse said, "Maybe she used incorrect terminology but she was just checking dilation. It can be uncomfortable when they check for dilation." She would barely let me talk and just kept cutting me off. (Sidenote: My husband was in the room with me during the doctor’s appointment, saw how uncomfortable I was, and also heard Dr. Won say that she "stripped" me.) Despite this, the whole office seemed to try to cover it up in my follow up visits. My own doctor even said “Wow, your cervix is far back. That last examination must have been really uncomfortable.” Yet it didn't hurt at all when he examined me, and it also hadn't hurt in my previous examinations with Dr. Won. I felt like they all knew she was wrong in performing the procedure and then they all tried to convince me that it never happened. Had she asked my permission to perform the procedure, or explained why she would recommend that she should do it, or if I hadn't been told that "it didn't happen," by others in the practice, I wouldn't be so angry. Unfortunately, due to this instance and other issues (which were less extreme, however), I would not recommend this practice.

Miyoung is the worst, most unprofessional person I have ever come across. I won't categorize her as a "Dr" because she does not deserve that title. She kept misdiagnosing me with "fibroids or endometriosis" only so she could order extra tests and charge me. She has no ethics, bedside manner, or medical competency. There is a reason all her reviews are as such: heed the warning, please go see anyone else.

Very cold and doesn't listen.

Very nice bed side manner and follow up was outstanding. She was very receptive to my questions and suggestions regarding my care. I have recommended this physician to friends.

not a professional doctor, she only cares her money, not the patients. Lower lever of the education

Dr. Won has a horrible bedside manner. She does not listen to her patients or know how to problem solve.I would not risk my life or the life of my unborn child.

Doctor Won was very cold and very rough. I asked more than once for her to wait during the exam because I was so uncomfortable. Not only did she not stop, she was short with me and told me it was because I wasn't relaxed.She was so unfeeling I am so surprised she chose to be a gynecologist.
