Dr. Mo Dattu, MD

Dr.Dattu has helped me with my depression after the sudden death of my son. He encouraged me to see a grief councillor simultaneously while he medically managed my depression. His collaborative approach helped me address my grief instead of numbing the pain. He’s thoughtful, caring, compassionate and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Dattu.

Dr. Dattu was instrumental in helping me manage my anxiety and ADHD effectively, so I could approach people and situations with a more balanced and healthy mindset. Before cautiously prescribing any medication, we first examined my thoughts, behaviours, and actions and thoroughly investigated my past. The approach was more holistic, rather than just medication-based, and I was able to really understand myself and others better. Once on medication, adjustments were made as needed to ensure I am okay. Thank you Mo, you have been a valuable asset to my mental health and personal growth! I truly feel I am on a path to self-improvement.

Dr. Dattu helped me find the right approach to my very complicated current situation and I have been able to navigate my life and succeed at making large positive changes because of his insightful help. I highly recommend Dr. Dattu.

Dr. Dattu is the first psychiatrist who would really listen to me. He never talks down to me and remembers me and what is going on in my life. I feel he really cares about me as a person. He is the first doctor to really get my meds right and is a vital part of my support team. I have gone from someone who barely functions to a person that can fully participate in life.

Mismanaged my meds. My insurance company, pharmacy, and I made several attempts to reach the doctor. Office staff was dismissive and refused to provide necessary prior authorization. It took over a week and a half to get the proper prescription.

Hes a good guy...i cant imagine how they feel comfortable diagnosing anything with the lack of time available and the amount of broken people out there...great job Doc.

The staff was courteous and helpful. Dr. Dattu would get my lowest ratings if possible. The only good thing I can say is that he did spend the proper amount of time with me, but was way off in diagnosing me or listening to my complaints. He kept saying he likes to keep things low and slow which resulted in lower dosages that never helped, months and months on the same dose and only when I told him that the medications weren't really effective, all he did was give me handouts to read - that had nothing to do with how I was feeling. When I called to follow up about complaints or concerns about the medications, he never called me back - ever. No bedside manner, no concern and never listened. He basically did what he wanted to do. I would never recommend him and if they tell you to see him, you really shouldn't as he just does not listen to you. It was a waste of time and money. I would give zero stars, and only am giving stars for the staff, who really felt for me and felt bad. He… seemed very put out to have to call a patient. I'm still shaking my head.

Met Dr. Dattu at his private office within Main Line Counseling & Wellness Center in Haverford, PA. Beautiful office space and quick appointment time there, though he doesn't accept insurance. He works alongside integrative health care practitioners, so he is open to many different types of treatments that work. Dr. Dattu is pretty laid back, and works really hard to get to know you as an individual and find out what works for you. Thankful to have found him.

Dr. Dattu is a very thorough, insightful and compassionate physician who goes beyond what the surface detail of symptoms and really does his best to understand the why and how of your disgnosis. He is conservative with medications and very much encourages patients to use skills learned in therapy with the eventual goal of reducing and eliminating medications. I would recommend him very highly.

Dr. Dattu invested a ton of time into my husband's treatment. He spent more time than allotted with my husband and me discussing his symptoms and ways to control them. He is open to holistic treatment and minimal medications. He is currently working at Springfield Psychological. The office is horrendous in communication to him. The office schedules you for appointments that he doesn't even have then reschedules you without discussing it with you first. Then when you call to reschedule the appointment the office just changed on you, they threaten to drop you because you cancel too many appointments. The office is a disgrace, but Dr. Dattu is an amazing doctor.
