I feel comfortable with Dr. Aohamad and he is knowlegeable. Good doctor & staff

We have been going to Dr. Alsolaiman for quite some time. My daughter was having such severe pain in her upper left side & we had been to several doctors trying to figure out what it was. She ended up being diagnosed with hereditary pancreatitis. We spent the summer of 2014 in Minnesota so she could have a life saving surgery called a Total Pancreatectomy/Auto Islet Transplant (TP/AIT). We are now 7 1/2 mo post op & she has been having this severe pain on her left side. We went to Dr. Alsolaiman to have him do an endoscopy & colonoscopy to see if he could check out the surgery site to see what was going on. The night before when she tried to do the cleanout she couldnâ??t keep the magnesium citrate drink down so I called the hospital & asked them if we could just do the endoscopy & they said it would be fine. We were there at 7 AM the next morn but the dr didn't even come in to talk to us before beginning the procedure! After she came out he finally came in & told me that he had gone… ahead & done the colonoscopy anyway since â??he didn't want us to have to come back for it.â?? I was surprised & asked him how he was able to see anything without her being cleaned out. He just said he could still see ok! I feel like he just wanted the money for it!! Then he went on to tell me that her lower colon looked fine but the upper colon had lots of stool. He asked me when she ate last & I told him she had some dinner the night before. He said that it was still there, that nothing is moving thru. I asked the dr if he thought all of this could have something to do with her surgery & he said, â??What surgery!!!!â?? I was in shock & said, â??She had her pancreas, spleen & duodenum removed 7 months ago!!!â?? He just said, â??Oh, I wasnâ??t aware of that.â?? Thatâ??s when I realized that he had done this test without even reading my daughters history! After I came home & thought more & more about it, the madder I got! I started reading reviews on him & found that he has done this before! He did an endoscopy on someone who had a condition with her throat & ended up tearing a hole in her throat & she had to be in the hospital for several days! The husband was so mad about it he posted his review over & over! I called his office & talked to the nurse & let them know how upset I was.

Dr. Alsolaiman is the absolute worst. I (and my insurance) was charged 179.00 to see him for about 10 mins. He didn't even prescribe me anything or do anything other than to tell me what I already knew I had. You go to a Doctor to help you get better. He did absolutely nothing but charge me a ton to see him. Would never go back and would tell others to stay away! If I could rate him a zero I would.

Dr. Alsolaiman saved my life two times. He is kind and personable. I unabashedly recommend him to all needing gastroenterology diagnosis and or surgical procedure.

I am an RN and have had experiences with many doctors. I chose Dr. Alsolomain because of what I witnessed during his rounds at the hospitals. He is very professional and caring and I am very confident in his skill and knowledge.

I have a common liver problum but after two visits he still had no clue.. I waited and went to another doctor who diagnosed it in 10 min..

I have had elevated liver enzymes and I was told to go to a gastroenterologist. I tried calling one of the dr's in the Provo clinic but it was a 2 month wait (I should have waited) so I tried Dr. Alsolaiman's office. I got in right away (another sign?). When I saw him he did a blood test. After the test, a month later, he told me that really blood tests don't tell anything and that my other option was to do a biopsy. Well, if blood tests don't work, then why did you make me pay for one? He doesn't know how to communicate to me what is going on and frankly he has no idea what is wrong with me. I tried to switch to another dr at the provo central utah clinic , for a second opinion, but since I already saw Dr. Alsolaiman they WILL NOT switch patients because they are affiliated with the same clinic. So now I still don't know what is wrong with my liver and I can't switch dr's wuth out paying a fortune because the only other gastro dr's on my plan are the ones that at with Central Utah… Clinic. I am very upset with Central Utah Clinic. It should be my own choice what dr I want to use and if I want to switch dr's, why not? I don't get it. They are still getting my business but througha different Dr!

My wife went to Dr. Alsolaiman for a throat stricture to have her throat stretched so that she could swallow more easily. When we went to the hospital, the Dr. came in just for a brief moment before the procedure, clearly rushed, and didn't let her ask any questions or say anything before he left. My wife has a medical condition that makes her epithelial tissues less elastic than normal, and the Dr. had been told this on previous occasions but obviously didn't remember it this time because when my wife came back from the procedure Dr. Alsolaiman told me that he had tried to push her throat expansion as much as possible so she might not have to come back for a second one later. End result: HE TORE A HOLE IN MY WIFE'S THROAT between her esophagus and windpipe, resulting in horrible pain and a 4 day hospital stay. To add insult to injury, he then CHARGED US A COPAY for him to come back into the room for 15 seconds and tell her that he had done so. He literally walked into the room, said… "there is a tear in your throat that will require a stay in the hospital" and left, and charged us $45 to do it. Overall, my wife spent 4 days in the hospital (with all the pain you would expect a torn esophagus would cause), we spent $1,200+ on the procedure that was supposed to be a 15 minute outpatient surgery because Alsolaiman rushed through it and didn't read his patient's chart. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. I'm sure he's usually competent and capable, but if he does this once he can do it again. I was disgusted by this whole experience with him.
