You will never meet a more kind, caring doctor. He genuinely cares about his patients, listens without judgement and is always available to you. He has called me on a Sunday to ask how I was doing - what doctor does that? Very impressed with this psychiatrist.

Buckle up: I’m here to let you know exactly what the experience is like. One of the worst experiences I have ever had with medical care! First warning sign was he was very easy to get into when other psychiatrists have longer waiting lists. He told me it was because people don’t trust him because he is a foreigner, which, after my experience, I realize that is not why people don’t trust him. He’s Always late to appointments Zero sense of urgency! He’s in the back and I hear the microwave making something while I am waiting in lobby 15 minutes over appt time Next appointment, I saw the client before me come out, waited until 15 minutes past appt time again and I here the doctor from the back, “oh is someone here for me????” Then waited another few minutes while he made something in the microwave.... I Called on Wednesday to get refill and told receptionist what was going on. No call back. I called again Friday and no answer and no call back. Finally received call Sunday… at 430pm, 30 minutes before Walgreens closed and dr Karami ordered my prescription. Got to pharmacy and he had ordered the wrong prescription. Called him back and no answer. Went 3 days without any medicine. Thanks doc. Next bad experience is he ordered me a prescription that was on backorder. Which is understandable he didn’t know. But he did not call the pharmacy to check the next prescription he ordered me to see if they had it, second prescription was also on backorder..... Dr doesn’t get back to you for 5 days when you have no medication and need a refill but expects you to call him 72 hours before your appt to need to cancel or else you get a steep 75 dollar fee. Yes which I had to pay!!! No leniency there, very hypocritical policy as I went 72 hours without medicine and I had to pay 75 dollars because I had something come up and had to cancel the appointment with 72 hours. Receptionist is unorganized and the other reviews that talk about billing problems?? Yeah totally true!!! They mess up billing bad. Gave them my insurance number 4 times, not exaggerating.... twice on the phone before first appointment: once in person on first appointment, which when that happened I called heather and told her I already gave it to her. She denied it and told me that I had never given it to her. My response was yes I did and you called me and told me my insurance would pay 90 and that I would be responsible for 10. She then admitted she probably lost it..... Lastly I gave it to her on my 2nd appointment when it was finally added correctly. This was a month and a half into seeing them and they still have not billed my insurance! To this day I still have not received a bill because of it, I have no idea how much I owe them. It’s an example of how their office runs. Overall I was clearly not happy with my experience. I hope that they can read this review and make changes, I would like to see people have a better experience then I did.

While his staff is welcoming, Dr Karami's accent was hard to decipher and he speaks very softly. I am a young adult (21) and came in for depression, and he told me on my first visit "you shouldnt be sad." I understand his standpoint as a professional, but as a young person in the thick of an illness, it came off rude to me. Sometimes when we speak I feel rushed and like he is not listening to the details. He prescribed a medication that has a side effect of weight gain, when he himself diagnosed me with body dysmorphia. Seems contradictory. He took 2 WEEKS to have my medication refilled. He diagnosed me with an eating disorder, and when I consulted other psychiatrists and therapists, all disagreed. While I am sure he is a good person, I do not recommend.

This supposed "doctor" cut me off the panic medication I had been on 8 years without offering any other medication to use for sever panic/bi-polar disorder. I was on a benzodiazepine which I NEVER abused and kept asking him if cutting me off after one month what other medication could help me. I said okay but what would I take to replace it or control life threatening consequence of going off to fast. GOOGLE IT! IT'S TRUE! LONGER ON MUST BE VERY CAREFUL AND UNDER DOC SUPERVISION TO AVOID LIFE-THREATENING COMPLICATIONS. I HAD THEM! HE OFFERED NOTHING!!If you read ANY information about long term use of a benzodiazepine it is life threatening after YEARS of use to not taper the dose down VERY slowly at the risk of life threatening seizures and panic to the point of off the chart blood pressure levels, choking and breathing difficulty and more. Guess what, I was sent by ambulance by my FOOT doctor when my heart was racing so bad and BP was 186/ 90 and life threatening. I again ended up in… the ER and 2 more trips to urgent care, in the span of only 2 months, all due to this hideous doctor. I called him at least 5 times and hysterically left messages asking if there was another med to bridge off this dangerous withdrawal. He never answer the phone and never returned ONE call. All ER and urgent care staff said I was in a dangerous state yet this horrible doctor never called me back. Thank God I found a new doctor who is tapering me off over months to avoid life threatening issues as I experienced. He spent 20 min at best my 1st visit, never even did intake as to all meds taking for other serious conditions like Lupus and RA. His nasty 1 staff woman just has you fill out 1 piece of paper and wants your insurance info. If you want to end up in the psychiatric ward over and over, then go see this guy.

All I can say is that this dr is amazing. He really does care.

The staff and the Dr. were the best. Everything was amazing and so easy. I would recommend this office to anyone.
