Dr. Mohammad Refai A Rajabi, MD

I was not offered to do a survey for my visit with Dr. Rajabi. His unprofessional behavior made the situation worse. He entered on my aftercare visit paperwork ‘poorly managed diabetes’, in which I felt stereotyped. He never asked about my sugar levels or to see my numbers or how I’ve been managing. He was in & out of the room in 5 minutes. His expressions because of my past history of miscarriages was dismissive. Rajabi Didn’t even ask if I have any living children or how that pregnancy went. He didn’t even tell me about aftercare because of the miscarriage & asked when is the next time I’ll see my OB which was right after his appointment. Knowing that there’s a high infant mortality rate among Blacks in this area (with Akron being the highest in the country) I would think CCF would take extra care in leading to help prevent this more. CCF should be finding more ways in giving Black women the extra care & support that they need. The infant mortality rate in the Black community doesn’t… discriminate over Education or economic/FPL status. Rajabi acted as if he were completely desensitized & could careless. Dr. Thigpen & her office were a tremendous help to me.
