Prior to joining Springfield Clinic, he provided ophthalmology care in Kentucky.Inspired by his physician parents, Dr. Sadiq knew early on that medicine would be his calling. “Seeing the impact my parents made in their patients’ lives every day helped me realize early on that medicine was the path I was meant to follow,” he shares.Dr. Sadiq specializes in vitreoretinal surgery and provides comprehensive care for medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears and detachments, and complications from other eye diseases.He believes patients do best when they are fully involved in their care. “I want my patients to truly understand their condition, because that’s when they feel empowered and achieve the best outcomes,” he says.Outside of medicine, Dr. Sadiq enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and their fluffy four-legged friends. He is also an avid cyclist and skier and enjoys listening to good music.
