Dr. Mohammed Soubhi Nizam, MD

Years ago when I went for a visit with Dr Nizam, in Payson Ut, the nurse was not in the room with us and he was feeling around for a hernia in my belly and told me he need to check lower, He pulled my pants and underwear down so I was not covered on my private area, , he started filling and pressing on my privates and I asked him what he was doing, he said he was checking for hernias in that area, I felt extremely violated, but I had no proof because the nurse was not in the room as a witness. I never went back and never told anyone until now. Has anyone had anything like this happen to them from Dr Nizam?

I had just taken labs and had seen an oncologist at other hospital, he dismissed labs, and pathology reports. He wouldn’t even acknowledge the information I had. He even said “what are you doing here!” In a rude condensending manner. He told me that what I was just diagnosed with wasn’t correct, even with pathology reports stating different. He is rude, dehumanizing, and made a really hard sensitive time in my life even worse. Total waste of a day! I will not be seeing him again and would most definitely not recommend him.

Went to see Dr. Nizam after being referred by my Primary Care Provider. He unnecessarily ordered additional blood tests, because the other two weren't as accurate. When I met with him the second time I spent a full hour with his PA going over my whole life to see if treatment would benefit me. Dr. Nizam then came in told me I didn't need treatment, that I was fat, and had to get better sleep, and that because I wasn't a firefighter I didn't need testosterone therapy. When I asked what treatment I should do and where I should go, he shrugged his shoulders and said he didn't know, just that I didn't need to come back. He suggested a therapist. I have since been to a different endocrinologist and the results are amazing. I wouldn't refer Dr. Nizam to anyone! I felt unheard, humiliated and like I had wasted hours of work and family time for nothing.

I met Dr. Nizam for the first time today after andseeing the nurse practitioners for a year, it was one of, if not the worst, healthcare experiences I have ever had. I have been seeing endocrinologists for over 4 years, I have Hoshimotos Thyroiditist. I had a normal checkup with a nurse practitioner, Kevin, he was very lovely and the only reason I didn't fall to pieces. At the end of the apt. he said, because I am pregnant, Dr. Nizam would want to see me. That was fine with me. Kevin went to show him my chart and came back 5 mins later with the doctor. He shook my hand and then told me that I have something called postpartum thyroiditis and that it looks like it can be cured. I had never heard of this before and it had certainly never come up in 4 years of care, also being currently pregnant I was unsure how I had anything postpartum. I had already been diagnosed and I was just there to renew my prescription. So naturally I had some questions like why he thinks I have this after just… meeting me and looking my chart over for 5 mins. He got very frustrated right away and told me that he doesn't have to explain to me how he reached a diagnosis or why he thinks something. I honestly was not calling him into question as a personal attack, just geuinely confused. Now it seems my healthcare provider is unwilling to explain my health or provide care for me. So I asked again how in all my years of care I am just hearing about this and how after normal lab results he came to the conclusion I not only have something, but it has been cured. He got upset and told me if I didn't like what he was saying I could go somewhere else. His 20 years of experience is enough for him to diagnose me and he doesn't have time to explain how he got there. I was shocked at how condescending and rude a healthcare professional with 20 years of experience could be. After much more back and forth he finally told me that the Hoshimotos is separate and I'll always have it, but the Thyroiditist may be a wrong diagnosis and I instead have postpartum thyroiditis which will go away. He can tell that because I got pregnant and my numbers stayed the same. He left the room and I started crying (pregnant). I didn't understand why he didn't just tell me that in the beginning or answer my questions or show any kind of empathy at all. Kevin came back and sat down and went over everything with me. He told me why they thought I had this new thing and how to tell if I do or not. He answered all my questions and explained what my care would look like moving forward. He was kind and patient. Dr. Nizam could have approached the whole thing differently and it would have been a normal positive experience. His attitude and pompous reactions were so uncalled for and out of line I could never recommend him for anyone's health care, because he doesn't care. The nurse practitioners here are so wonderful though. Finding a specialist that is as caring as these nurse practitioners is proving difficult.

He didn’t want to do maintenance on what I was doing, but would rather me go back and start over all the testing again because he wouldn’t feel good about it unless he ordered the tests again. I didn’t realize I was going to have to make him feel good.

He is the RUDEST doctor I have ever been consulted by. I had to wait for over a month for the first appointment. The day of the appointment I waited an hour to be seen for 5 minutes, I walked out of there with an appointment in two weeks, and a blood test order. The second visit was even worse, he had the results for my tests and he said that the numbers were not important, even though the numbers for me were OUTRAGEOUS!! A normal range for a TPO test is between .25-10 and my test results were over 1,800. I asked him to explain that to me but he got mad and told me that I was in there for HIS EXPERTISE and I could go and find another opinion. So, I walked out of his office. I spend a lot of money and I did not get any answers.

After reading all the negative reviews, I felt like that could have been me writing each one as I too, unfortunately, had those experiences with the doctor and staff. Save you money, time physical and emotional well being. Do NOT go!

Dr. Nizam is the worst doctor I have ever been to. Not only did he lie right to my face but he was totally unprepared when my appointment came. Of course he blamed everyone else outside of his office . Upon research the truth was the right blood test was not even requested. Instead of calling me to correct the problem he take off work and come in for my appointment for nothing. What a waste of time. Save your own time and stress by finding a different doctor. Upon consulting with other medical professionals they said he has a "God" complex.

I went to see Dr Nizam because my primary Dr did some tests that came back positive and recommended I see this type of Dr. Right from the start D r Nizam said by looking at you I would not even say you have this disease and I am 100% sure the test result was a false positive from my birth control pills. He proceeded to schedule a bunch more tests to rule out the disease that He had already said he was "100% sure you don't have" then said when results come back do you want my office to call you or do you want to come back in and waste a copay to get the negative results. Seriously this Dr has 0 people skills, is rude and made me feel stupid for even going to see a Dr with his "expertise" a word he liked to use to describe himself all thru my visit! End of rant.. just take my word find a better Dr! If I could give negative stars I would!!
