Run for your life! I was hospitalized for hypoglycemia. At first was taken off insulin by one endocrinologist, then this endocrinologist restarts it. I end up in ICU as a result. He then tries to blame me for the screw up! How can an unresponsive unconscious patient in a hypoglycemia coma self inject???

First of all, let me say, Dr. Baig has a nice quiet demeanor and speaks very clearly and smiles nicely as he talks to you and I never felt rushed...HOWEVER. Please read on!! I went to Dr. Baig after my primary care physician found my thyroid was very enlarged. I had been having typical symptoms of hypothyroidism. My blood work showed my levels, were off but within "normal" limits, and Dr. Baig dismissed every one of my symptoms as not being a result of my thyroid. Now, eight months later, my thyroid has increased exponentially in size and I have grown 7 very large nodules. I am having trouble breathing and gasp for air at night due to the pressure on my trachea. I had a biopsy done and the doctor who performed it couldn't believe I can still breathe, that it's the largest thyroid he's seen with the largest nodules. I went back to Dr. Baig for the biopsy results (they were benign) and he said he has no reason to believe my trachea is constricted in any way!! Throughout the… numerous visits I've had with him, he dismissed every single one of my symptoms as not being attributed to my thyroid because my TSH levels were in the "normal" range. When I questioned him as to why I was having these symptoms and why was my thyroid enormous, he was vague and dismissive. He even blamed it on family history of thyroid problems, and my mother was sitting right there and told him not one single other person in our family has EVER had thyroid issues!! I felt Dr. Baig didn't listen to me, didn't give me a proper diagnosis, and didn't care about my overall health. I will never go back to him again and will never refer anyone to him.

Took months to get in to see him. Sat in waiting room for 30-50 min. both times I was there to see him. Staff didn't answer phone at times and phone was set to answering service at odd times of the day. Loved Dr. Baig's kind demeanor and he took his time with me and spoke in terms I could understand and asked if I had any questions. HOWEVER...when it seemed he was unsure about why I was having the problems I am having, he chalked it up to "heredity" and said for me to wait 4-6 months and come back. I have no history of these problems in my family and my mom was there and told him so too but he had no answer. From what I'm reading online, he's also going by some very outdated information about what is considered "normal" levels of certain things in the blood. I'm going to see someone else and get some answers.

I'm not sure if this doctor knows what he's doing. He doesn't explain things and doesnt seem to care at all about his patients...and his staff are even worse. They are rude and unprofessional. To make matters worse you can NEVER get through to them. Their hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and have their phones forwarded to thier answering service all the time. I start calling at 9 up until 1100 and before you know it is says their are on lunch until 130 p.m.! So if you need your medicine refilled good luck...i'm pulling my records and going elsewhere.
