Two events with Dr. Sidransky lead me to warn potential patients. First, he “doubled” a medication from 200 mg/day to 900mg/day. Second, when I declined a procedure he had the scheduling nurse to call for setting up a time for the procedure.

My husband has ruptured disks, a pinched nerve which starts at his cervical around his neck and radiates to his fingers. Doctor suggested getting shots. We told him he had gotten shots before and had no relief. Dr. Sidransky wanted to do more shots anyway. Well the shots didn’t. If you go see this doctor BEWARE! UT Hospital WILL CHARGE YOU a FACILITY CHARGE for seeing the doctor who has an office across the road from them! $200.00 and that’s not with the fee the doctor charges. Also be AWARE that the DOCTORS OFFICE DOES NOT INFORM You about this!They should tell you when you make the appointment! We would have gotten another doctor had we known this. I was not impressed with UT of Tyler’s hospital anyway. It’s old and waiting room you check into before shots is cramped and nasty! Won’t do this again!

I have been to Dr. Sidransky for several years. I first met him when I was taken to emergency at Gun Barrell, Tx. Then he handled my pain management at request of another doctor. I have seen him at his other locations. He is knowledgeable, effective, and has a calming manner.
