Dr. Monica Kaur Bedi, MD

Dr. Bedi is a fantastic physician! I became her patient soon after she started her practice in Sarasota. No other physician had ever taken the time and effort needed to properly diagnose and then to effectively treat my condition, which turned out to be both plaque psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. I have often told her that I really wish that she were willing to be my primary physician. I am certain that I would be much healthier if she were. Dr. Bedi and Dr. Neff are the only physicians on staff that I have seen but they are both outstanding!

I have Medicare and one of the best supplement plans. On my card it points out that I pay a $20 copay for an office visit. This is always the case. This office said upfront they would charge ME a whole slew of fees and not my supplemental insurance company, so I called the insurance company--United Healthcare-- and they said they were absolutely not supposed to do that. When I told them a few minutes later they said I was wrong. Do not go there-- it looked like waiting time would be hours and they try to rip you off on top of that.

Billed for no services provided

That was the worst experience. The office called me in the morning and said that I need an authorization from my PCP. I contacted my insurance prior and they made it very clear the referral is not needed. I told them I don't need it and they never called me back. At the medical office I spent a ton of time on the phone with my insurance and their supervisor was ready to talk to the office staff. He left reference number and waited on the line to talk to anyone from the office. They refused to call nor were interested in solving the issue. I was told a bunch of times that I can PAY CASH today or need a referral. They did't care about anything but me paying cash. Would have been so simple to make that phone call. I explained I waited for weeks for this appointment and had to arrange for my 16 months old son to stay home with babysitter. Just to be told in a very angry agressive manner I'm not the only one person with a kid. In addition billing department representative stormed into the… conversation almost screaming I must pay cash if I am to have my appointment or leave immediately and come back with referral. I don't believe a quality doctor can be represented by such behavior. This is my first bad review ever.

This wonderful Dr. Has made my life better...100%better. She is so easy to talk to an does not rush you . I highly reccommend her.

Dr Bedi and her staff are friendly, caring, thorough and efficient. Dr Bedi returned my call after five minutes on a Sat nite to answer my concerns. I have been completely impressed with the entire practice and will recommend her highly.

I have been going to Dr. Bedi for several years. She was very persistent in her effort to diagnose a skin disorder that I had. Once diagnosed she was able to bring it under control - something that others had tried and failed to do. I wish that she were a GP as I would go to her for all of my health issues if possible. She is the best physician that I have ever met. The only downside is that she is very busy and it often takes months to get an appointment to see her.
