Dr. Monte Lane Elgarten, MD

Dr. Elgarten was a breathe of fresh air. He was able to give me insight and guidance regarding issues that have plagued me for years. He approached my existing issues from a different perspective. Recommended herbal and natural based solutions rather than putting me in a box labeled 'to hard' or instantly prescribing pharmaceuticals. Previous Dr's essentially just wanted to put a band-aid over conditions. His honest and no nonsense approach proved to me that he was looking for long term solutions and actually eliminating burdens I have carried for years. He is a rare and welcomed find.

This "Dr" was doing an in home health assessment of me and was very abrasive with his tone, attitude and overall deameanor. He stated several things during our time together, one being that he changed our time from 11am to 1pm. I told him I had an appointment at 3pm and to ensure that I would make that, he said, "if im there later than 2pm, slit my throat! He then continued to correct me when it came to specific questions about my health, family history, etc. He would say things like.."I didnt ask you that"! or, "I didnt tell you to put your shoes back on",,,He then asked what my profession was...I told him I was in the airline industry, he said, "Thank goodness",,,"I finally have met someone with a real profession"! I said, I didnt understand what he meant, he said, I deal mainly with teachers, etc. I also told him that last year, when a nurse came out,..he interupted me mid sentence and said....."Im not a Nurse, Im a Doctor"!!! I just wanted to give my feedback as this… was, in my opinion, not a very good experience from a so called "professional" Doctor. Thank you.

This dr is mentally imbalanced. With out justification I was treated in a horrific manner, repeatedly insulted, he contacting family members to increase his insults. Imagine treating a sick person this way...I, as a patient, was always on time, promptly paid, cooperated with whatever was asked of me...His behavior toward me was that of an angry unstable person causing me great emotional distress.

Dr.Elgarten is a strict doctor. He makes sure his patients do things HIS way and don't decide to treat themselves. He doesn't put up with patients who are unwilling to work with him on their road to recovery. Dr.Elgarten cares greatly for his patients and always gives them the highest quality of care. If you choose Dr.Elgarten as your doctor be ready to be committed and strict about following his rules and he WILL recover you! I have been going to Dr.Elgarten for years and he has always made himself available to his patients through email and phone, no matter what time-he is always more than willing to get back to you. If you put your part, he will surely put his. I have never seen a doctor before who cares this much about the well-being of his patients.
