Dr. Montgomery Edward Thorne, MD

I have been having a lot of issues this pregnancy, such as sickness and cramping. This is my third pregnancy & I know what "pregnancy cramps" feel like when things are moving/stretching. However, Dr. Thorne apparently thinks he knows my body better than I do & told me that was I was feeling were just normal pregnancy cramps. When I told him I was having to call out of work because they were so bad I couldn't get up, his response was "well I guess quit or get another job. I don't know what you want me to tell you." I asked what I could do because Tylenol wasn't working to help with the pain. His response was "I don't know then." I should not be doubled over in pain, in tears, unable to go to work and him be as rude as he was to me about it. It was like he wasn't even listening to anything I was saying. I told them at check out to make sure I never see him again & I hope they take care of that for me. I don't want to leave the practice because of one doctor, but I'm tempted to do that.

I am 29 years old and about to have my second hysterectomy due to his negligence. While delivering my child 8 years ago, he cut my bladder and ignored my cries of pain for 3 days. Anither doctor came in to order a urologist which should have been done day 1 after seeing blood come from cathedar. Had emergency surgery to repair. 4 years later had a partial hysterectomy because bladder and uterus adhered together from the damage. Now, I will go in Monday for a complete hysterectomy to remove ovaries that have adhered to my abdominal wall because of those surgeries. Dr. Thorne is completely careless and is apparently friends with all of the lawyers in Georgia as none would file suit to sue him for malpractice not listening or caring for his patients!

Dr. Thorne was very nice. He took the time to explain everything and answer all of my questions.

Very compassionate and great listener! Had a great pregnancy experience with him as my doctor.

I was leaking fluids at 22 weeks pregnant and went to the ER to make sure everything was ok. The nurse swabbed me and wanted to do an ultrasound. The only way to receive an ultrasound was under a doctors orders. The doctor on call was Dr. Thorne. He did not come in when he was called and told the nurse to just schedule me to come back during regular office hours on Monday (this was a saturday). I lost my baby the next morning. I truly believe that my baby could have been saved if Dr. Thorne would have come in to see me instead of pushing me aside so he wouldn't have to come in on his saturday morning. Even as I delivered my baby, Dr. Thorne (the doctor on call) was no where to be found. He comes in afterwards with coffee in hand and says there was nothing that could have been done to save my baby. I honestly don't know how this man has been in practice for this long.

Dr. Thorne is the best OB/Gyn I have ever been to. He is kind and caring and very thorugh about explaining options and procedures. He was very careful with good aftercare following a surgery I had. I felt at ease with him and would recommend him to everyone.

Has delivered my children and recently performed surgery on me (hysterectomy). He is the best doctor I have ever been to and everyone I know agrees. He has been voted the top ob doctor for the past few years. If you don't like him, you must have been doing something wrong or illegal!!!
