Dr. Susan A Chappelle, MD

I was new to the area when I became pregnant with my third child . Thwy have me dr. Chappelle. While I really loved her attitude and kindness it blinded me of maybe getting a second opinion when it came to the recommendation of needing a partial hysterectomy at age 27. She said I had cervical dysplasia and it was getting close to severe . We done a leep and before the results come back she had my in the OR ( my son was 3 months old ) doing a hysterectomy .. 1st visit with her after the operation , I come in she jokenly says”well pathology called and usually when they call it’s bad , but in your case they wanted to know why I done a hysterectomy on a heathy 27 year old “ EXACT WORDS !!! I still didn’t say anything because she said it really don’t matter you have the beginning stage of endemetrios And would have needed one later anyway the only thing you’ll be missing is a period . So I thought cool it’s not cancer praise the lord . Fast forward 10 years I’m now pretty much full blown… menopause , 100 pounds over weight ( that started soon after the hysterectomy) mental all over the place with mood changes etc ... basically while I liked her as a person I don’t feel she is a good doctor , it’s destroyed my life in so many ways ! Please get a second opinion before making drastic decisions with her.

Dr. Chappelle is an awesome OB/GYN! I was experiencing a lot of pain, and we discussed a game plan. She listened to my concerns and gave me options. She did my hysterectomy and I had very little pain. She has a caring "bedside manner", with a no-nonsense, direct approach, that puts you instantly at ease. Her nurse Cindy is the best also! I wouldn't even think about going to anyone else, and highly recommend Dr. Chappelle and her team! :)

Dr. Chappelle is amazing! I had a full hysterectomy and she and her staff were great through the entire process from appointments to insurance, surgery and post op.

I chose obgyn associates after hearing good things about them. Having never been to a obgyn I didn't know what to expect. While the nurses were super nice and telling me everythin that I should know. This dr did not, I didnt get to choose which dr I got and so I got stuck with her, she was in my opinion rude and just didnt seem to care. I was uncomfortable with being examined (as this was my first every visit and did not know her or what was goin to happen) it was just pushed on me and I told her I didn't feel comfortable with that since I was new. All she said was well when will you be comfortable with it and you have to, it's my job and I have requirement to meet. While I understand it is part of the process, I don't lik how she went about it and made me even more uncomfortable and defensive. She basically got really rude and said well I need to talk to the office director and then had her nurse come in and pretty much kick me out! On the way out we walked by her office and she's… just sitting in her chair.. Overall I loved the nurses and reception but she was just ridiculously rude and even more made my first visit terrible! I plan on calling to complain tomorrow and seeing if I can get another dr. I wish I had read reviews on her and been more prepared! Don't choose her!

Okay so I was new to columbus and needed a new gynecologist! I went with the first available, and still had to wait a month, which is normal, I know.. Let me tell you big of a JOKE ob/gyn and associates is, I went in.. The wait time was awesome.. I waited maybe 10 mins.. Then I go back to my room.. Dr. Chappelle comes in to meet me for 5 seconds.. She's really cool, really down to earth.. Then she jets out before I could ask what I was suppose to do.. I never even did a urine test, which is very strange, because I told all of the women I spoke to that my husband and I were trying. They didn't draw blood or do anything!! I pretty much requested it and it still wasn't done! Dr chappelle began my exam, it took a whole min (if that) then I was told I could open the door when I was dressed, did so, her nurse walked me out.. I go go checkout, the really rude lady at the desk I went too was ARGUING with a coworker right in front of me, then looks at my folder and says "you can go" I didn't… get a scheduled appointment or anything! I've never felt so let down after leaving the doc! I was there maybe 30 mins, which is awesome.. But when your trying, you want a doc that's going to talk to you and MAKE SURE everything is good to go! Well, the nurse had told me that if I didn't hear anything back by Monday (4 days away) to call them and ask about my test results..I thought that was odd.. well I waited 2 weeks, then called up there to make sure everything was okay, the nurse called me back and said everything was normal, and that was it. Well I talked to my friends and husband about switching to a more personable, helpful gynecologist and decided it's what I should do.. I called to see about switching to dr. Epley, and the lady on the phone told me that she was going to get a signed note from both Chappelle and Epley and I thought that was a good idea.. Well I get called back this morning, it was an extremely rude lady questioning me about why I wanted to change and that I couldn't do that because insurance wouldn't cover it.. Just had an attitude that you would not believe! I plan on going up there and talking to her in person. That was too much at 9 am. I told her I would just go with a different company.. Girls, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!! You won't be satisfied I promise.

Susan Chappelle is in and out of the examinig room so fast you cannot even tell her what is wrong....she did not take a culture on the first two visits, and prescribed medication for the wrong thing...still after one year, I still have a vaginal infection. I called the Office Administrator to complain, and she said she would look into it and call me back, I am still waiting for that return call almost two weeks later....DON'T GO TO THIS DOCTOR, SHE IS BAD NEWS!

I felt the Dr. did not care about what i was going through. She did not explain what she was doing. Did not let me explain what was going on with me. It was a big rush I was so disappointed. The Nurse was the person very caring to bad she was not the DR.

I ADORE HER! She delivered my daughter's baby and she was wonderful. She has a way of making the patient feel very comfortable and at ease. She is number one in our book!
