Dr. Morris Wade Pulliam

If this is the same Capt that did my surgery in Bethesda. 1999 , I was told he would do it and a LT did it , I came out worst with 2 disc fragments left behind and was never the same after that surgery . I was sent home the day after a discetomy and laminectomy. Back to Philadelphia pa never even saw either surgeon was sent home with a bottle of Mortin 800.

I went to Dr.Pulliam many years ago after experiencing back pain for over a year. I was finally sent to see Dr.Pulliam for a consult for possible back surgery (T7-T8). He explained that I had a herniated disc and if I didn't have this surgery I would have pain for tr rest of my life. My pain was so severe I couldn't even sleep in my bed, I had to sleep in a recliner. I agreed to have the surgery and was very aphrehensive. During the very long procedure the Dr. Pulliam nicked the dura, causing me to have even worst pain when I came out of surgery. This pain was so severe, I was bedridden for 3 1/2 years and lost my job at the hospital. For the past tne years I've gone to many doctors regarding this pain. Sadly, all have told me the same thing, "you'll have this chronic pain from this surgery for the rest of my life". This surgery caused me great grief, lost my job and marriage. The surgery actually made my pain worst. My life consists of going to to a pain management doctor. FYI to… anyone needing to have surgery, get second opinions and checked the credentials of those doctors.

I have been to Dr Pulliam 6-7 times in the past for severe back pain. He is a very conservative doctor in that he will test and re-test you to make sure there is a problem he can remedy before actually doing surgery or other procedures. He is so conservative, in fact, that he gives some patients the impression that he doesn't believe you have pain, but that is just his way. Once the problem is proven to him via MRI's, X-rays and examinations, he will prescribe non-invasion procedures before committing to any surgery. I believe you can't go wrong with Dr Pulliam and I'm very pleased with having gone to him for treatment.
