Dr. Mouawia Ghiba

I am writing this evaluation of Dr. Ghiba after I have been his patient for a couple of years. It all started when one of my molars broke and sheared off at the gum line. The remaining portion of the molar was buried just at or slightly below the gum level. The molar was not salvageable or restoreable and had to be extracted. I agonized over whether I should leave a huge gap between my teeth, opt for a bridge, or consider an implant. Having had a bridge before on the other side of my mouth and the many problems I faced with daily hygiene and decay due to such bridge, I opted for having an implant. Furthermore, another bridge would have entailed destroying at least two adjacent good teeth to support the bridge. Having had two other teeth destroyed to support the other bridge, my choice was to have an implant. Dr. Ghiba is capable of doing implants. He suggested that I do the extraction and the implant at the same time during the same session. I was skeptical at first, thinking that… the bone should first heal then place an implant. Dr Ghiba insisted that doing the implant immediately after the extraction would be much more productive. He said that as the bone heals from the extraction it will also hug the implant or post. I quickly was convinced that there was no need to disturb the bone foundation twice. Dr. Ghiba performed the procedure and it turned out to be a text book example of a procedure superbly done. Dr. Ghiba was able to do the implant using an abutment that was at least 10 mm long. He did that without the need for a sinus lift, and he was able to determine that I did not need a bone graft. Having avoided needless sinus lift and bone graft, the procedure was faster and more affordable. I saw the x-ray after the procedure was completed and the sharp x-ray image told the story. A great success. A crown was made and seated several weeks after. Even a novice like me can tell that the mission was accomplished with great success. I was absolutely delighted by the results. I returned to Dr. Ghiba to section off the old bridge and place and implant in the cavity that the bridge was covering. This procedure was more challenging, but the ultimate result was impressive. Dr. Ghiba was able to place a deep abutment, and made sure the abutment was absolutely vertical. He did just that. Again, without the need for bone graft and without the need for a sinus lift. I have confidence in Dr. Ghiba's skills and abilities. I have given Dr Ghiba my consent to showcase my treatment to any patient who wants to be assured that his great work will produce great results. Dr. Ghiba Mouawia, is an excellent dentist, I had no pain with any implant, extraction or during the treatment. every thing he fixed for me was perfect. I would highly recommend this doctor.
