Terrible listening skills and actually chewed me out for not bringing my medical records with me, even though they weren't relevant.

Will not relinquish results of a diagnosis that I myself paid for. They insisted that I would rather hear the news from Dr Sur after she returns from India. Ill be requesting a new primary care physician.

This provider (M.M. Sur) mis-diagnosed an ailment I was having and cost me over $3500 in unnecessary medical tests. I came to the office with what ended up being musculoskeletal pain, without any chest pain or breathing problems. This doctor and the staff at this facility used test results that give frequently false positive results to scare me into going to the emergency room on the same day as the office visit to get a full chest CT angiogram, which is invasive given the tracer dye and radiation exposure. The emergency room doctor asked me why my doctor sent me, perplexed about her order for the test (he said it wasn't necessary), obviously questioning the diagnosis and test request. He asked me for her cell number and talked with her, and then said that he'd proceed with the test (likely because she scared him too). Needless to say, it was a long and incredibly stressful night, and the test results came back negative, as was expected. My abdominal pain did not return after that day,… as I stopped the abdominal crunch exercises that led to the acute muscle pain. Vowing to never go through this again, I waited until I received all the bills and then contacted Saint Luke's Medical Center management about this incident, which I believe is a case of defensive medicine and incredibly poor practitioning by M. M. Sur. I am leaving this review to help other women patients in their search for good practitioners. Stay away from this one - this practitioner showed no interest in my case, misdiagnosed my condition, relied on defensive medicine excuses, has a poor bedside manner, and never ever followed up after the day the incident occurred.
