Dr. Mukesh Nautam Kamdar, MD

Dr. Kamdar is a very, very good Psych professional. He's easy to talk with, provides concise, sound and empathetic feedback, does not talk over your head, and really gives a sense he truly wants to help. Best part he doesn't subscribe to "reinventing the wheel" like most younger practitioners; which was my primary concern. I highly recommend him to both new patients and ones transferring from other practitioners. Now their business practice - not so happy with. They, like all other med offices want their $$ right there and now; even if you have insurance coverage. Let me be more specific - they come up with every excuse to get the full amount. Try getting your $$$ back - like pulling teeth from an angry tigers' mouth.

I have never had better treatment by any psychiatrist. I've never been not depressed until my treatment by him and he is extremely friendly and thorough. Normally psychiatrists seem like they just listen and are rushing and type into the computer and are very impersonal, but Dr. Kamdar is very kind and treats you like he genuinely cares for your ultimate well being.

I was recently in Rex hospital for cardiac issues. Some if these issues are stress related, as there have been a couple of deaths in my family at close intervals. This Dr was called in as a psych consult for stress management. He literally was not in my room much over 10 minutes! Just long enough to get a brief history and ask what I am currently doing to help manage my stress. He did NOTHING. My insurance was billed $453.00. ( 3 hours of time ) I am now responsible for $251.00 of that bill. Thank you Dr Kamdar to adding to my stress.
