Dr. Yates is amazing! He is a very knowledgeable and compassionate physician who takes a lot of time with his patients. I cannot say enough about him!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Yates for 20+ years. He always wants to know all of my symptoms, even if I think they don’t pertain to Gastrointestinal issues. He studies my chart before giving a “quick” answer, which may take a day or two, but well worth the wait, in my opinion. Not only has he called to check on me, but his nurses staff has checked on me to make sure I’m doing ok. Dr. Yates is a “complete doctor” who cares about all of my ailments. If he doesn’t have the answer, I can know he’ll find the answer or refer me to someone who can assist me in better health. I’ve never had a bad experience with him or Galen Medical Group.

Dr. Yates could not have been more informative, comforting and kind before and after he performed my first colonoscopy screening. I highly recommend him and the entire Galen gastro team who took care of me from the front desk to everyone else involved in my care. This is the way routine screenings should go. Simple, efficient, in a friendly, upbeat environment...even the music that's playing as your waiting to be taken back. Superb!

Dr Yates saved my life in 2009. I had a gastric bypass in 2008 & my surgeon almost let me die because he didn't pay attention to my symptoms. The hospital even admitted me when he told them to give me fluids & send me home. Dr Yates was called in when I started vomiting blood. If not for him I would have died. He said the Lord had everything lined up at the hospital for me. He said he had never seen a patient in as bad a shape as me at the time. I recommend him to everyone.

Dr. Yates has been taking care of me 17 years. He has been always been attentive to my symptoms and quick to take appropriate actions when needed. He is very caring and compassionate. I am blessed by his faithful care.

I have been going to him for 18 years. He is caring and actively listens to you. His bedside manner is great, you feel like you could talk to him about anything. I feel blessed that I chose him when I needed a gastroenterologist. Office staff is friendly and wait times are minimal.

Dr Yates is very caring of all his patients and takes time to truly listen to your symptoms, needs, and concerns. You are not just a number to him, you are a human, a patient whom he truly cares for!!

His skills are terrific, his attitude is positive and as a long time patient, I can say I always leave his office with a feeling of gratitude for him. His office staff is kind and convey a sense that they are there to help make the visits good ones. I value Dr. Yates both for his humility and my assurance that he is providing me the best possible care.
