Dr. Nabil Abdel El-Halawany, MD

I started seeing him and he’s been the best psychiatrist I’ve seen since 2009 when I was in A life changing situation which left me dealing with multiple traumas he really made me comfortable and heard and didn’t push anything on me he took my Previous treatment seriously he absolutely has changed my life since seeing him has been a god send for me! I havent been able to find anyone who actually took the time to help me and listen accurately for the first time I am Able to live my life an get it back on track bc my mental health really wasn’t being treated seriously entell I came to this man!

This doctor tried to ruin my life when it came to my daughter. I was his patient 22 years ago. He had me on so much medication I was unable to function. I lost my job, was forced to resign in lieu of a termination and lost custody of my daughter for a short time. People had beliefs about my behavior due to the effects of all the meds he prescribed. He even testified against me in family court. Steer clear of this man, unless you want to live my nightmare. I have since found new doctors that don't over medicate and got on the right track after leaving his care. I've been able to manage my life well for years. Glad I got away from him before he destroyed my life anymore than he did.

I saw this provider for a year. He's a pill pusher... you have to see a therapist to talk and you're lucky if you see him for ten minutes. Don't ask him questions, you aren't worthy. He sits at his desk and charts the whole time... doesn't pay much attention to you. YOU CAN FIND A BETTER PSYCHIATRIST AT THE MED SCHOOL.!!!!

I could not believe that a licensed professional physician would conduct himself in such a condescending way toward fellow health care professionals. His treatment of nurses is the most misogynistic I have seen in my many years as a health professional. I can't see that he would treat his patients (especially women) much better. Yelling at staff, demanding assistance as opposed to asking and making condescending statements comparing oneself to others is considered rude in the U.S. You are a poor representative of the people of Egypt. Money and titles do not make the man; your behavior is atrocious.

This is the most shocking example of poor psychiatry I have ever witnessed. When talking about my own beliefs of spirituality he became unhinged. He also stated that issues with my sons were my fault, insulted me when I wouldn't allow my wife to join (he went back to this 3 times), refused to accept my prior five year psychaitrist recommendations, and told me he had 100 dollars in his pocket when he came to USA and is now rich. And there is more, all triggered by my personal views of God. I'm submitting an official complaint and hope he recorded the interview.

Was absolutely shocked by his lack of bedside manner. Also doesn't seem consistent from interview to interview. We go over the same thing over and over-does he read his own notes about my case? I find myself correcting him often regarding what I've said at prior appointments.

Dr. Nabil ElHalawany is a first class Psychiatrist. He truly cares about his patients and he seems to get to the problem immediately. I can only attribute that to his experience and professionalism in the questions he asks. Very pleased with him.
