Dr. Nafees Unissa Ahmed, MD

Back in 1981, I had toxic shock syndrome and was poorly treated by another gynecologist, resulting in an infection that severely damaged my reproductive system. I came to Dr. Ahmed seeking treatment, and she was gentle, kind, and compassionate in every way. She prescribed antibiotics that cleared up the infection and later conducted the tests that revealed the extent of my damage. There was little likelihood of my getting pregnant, and I was 32 years old and anxious to have a baby. Miraculously, the following year I was pregnant, and Dr. Ahmed treated me throughout my pregnancy, delivered my beautiful little girl, Zahida Nureen, and even forgave the amount due on my bill that my insurance did not cover.
