Dr. Nafeesa Siddiqui, MD

I'm not sure where to start but how about starting with the very fact that she's been my trusted psychiatrists for nearly 5 years now. Throughout the years I found out that my daughter too was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 depression. I guess it's in the genes. Lol Anyway, I met Dr. Siddiqui through an Intensive Outpatient program and I was being treated both for psychological issues such as depression, anxiety, bi-polar and for addiction services. When she first met me, I was a wreck and disaster and obviously needed help. I wasn't on the right meds so she started me with a few meds to help out with "my issues". Throughout time she found the right concoction, that worked for me. It wasn't an instant fix and it took time to figure out but let me tell you I never felt better when I we found the right meds to use that would take care of all my issues. I was almost homeless and had no direction in life because of my mental health & addiction issues but she gave me hope and we found the right… balance that made me feel better that gave me a sense of purpose and direction. Don't get fooloed! She may not come out as a very talkative person but believe you me, she cares a whole lot about your well being and wants to see you succeed. Today I have an excellent career with great salary, benefits and a happy and healthy home environment. Nothing's perfect but to me life is as good as it gets right now with many thanks to her. I only trusted one doctor for my daughter to seek and that was my doctor, Dr. Nafeesa Siddiqui. I wouldn't trust anyone else! My daughter loves her! Every visit she'll tell me something like, "don't screw up your job! You have a good thing going on right now so don't mess up!!! I always take her comments into consideration because she is old school and is very traditional and cared sincerely about her patients and yeah it takes time with her but you will see for yourself how much she cares! Only one way to find out...

She helps me keep control of my ADHD throughout school. Very supportive.

I went to Dr. Siddiqui for 18 years. She is an amazing physician. In 2018 she hired "V", an APN who would not listen to patients or permit me to speak to the doctor on the phone. She interfered with what had been successful care and a productive patient physician relationship. V then did not return my phone calls as to my future of lack thereof with this practice which is patient abandonment. Needless to say I no longer receive care here nor had care transferred. Sad. I loved the docs.

Besides being habitually late (I've waited an hour an a half) she really is a terrible doctor. She does not take the time to listen to what is going on and just prescribes medication seemingly on a whim. Or based on whatever her pharmaceutical reps are pushing. I kept experiencing worse and worse symptoms and she never even considered changing my medication. Save time and your mental health and avoid this doctor at all costs.

i Wonder how she is licensed to practice psychiatry ? She doesn’t know how to interview you and ask you irrelevant questions , I really don’t know if she is really a doctor. I am glad that I left and recommend everyone to stay away from her and her husband who is worse than she is .

i would not change her

A physiatrist main objective is to medicate not to discuss your problems in depth rather a general how are u dealing with why your depressed. She's up front and honest. No sugar coating. Old school dr. Which I love. She is an addiction specialist, rarely prescribes any Valium or sleeping pills. Doesn't over prescribe. Started me very conservatively. I have never NOT waited for any dr. In my life. Spends as much time as needed, doesn't rush. Even interacts with my children when They accompany me, genuinely interested in their schooling, activities. Warm in her greeting upon arrival and departure with handshakes and have a wonderful day or weekend. Respectful, but it's a 2 way street as well. One must work at building a relationship with a dr. Just like every business on the planet it doesn't happen in 1-2 visits it takes time to build a trust both ways.

as a psychiatrist you would think is care's but she doesnt because not only few patients died on here watch she refuses to change medicine even if its medically necessarily she refuse's to take advice even if a patient of here's was diagnosis by a neuropsychologist she will say i went to medical not you . and she will not take any considering of change a patients medicines even if a nuerpsychologist takes it best .

I have seen this Dr 4 times now and think she is a very good Dr, however, if you need prior authorization for any medication, you will be waiting for a long time. I have been waiting almost 2 months now. I have left messages multiple times with the receptionist to call me back when the prior authorization is done. But I have yet to hear from the office. My insurance company even called and left a message in my regard. Nothing... I have had to pay for my medication out of pocket for 2 months now.
