Dr. Naima Gila Zilkha, MD

I have macular degeneration and see a retina specialist once a monrh. Since I cannot drive after eye dilation, someone needed to go with me for each exam. The Garden City office is on the bus route and that is the reason I started seeing Dr. Zilka. But I am soooo happy with Dr.. Zilka's care. She is truly a caring doctor. She is extremely skilled at giving injections and takes the time to listen to my questions and answer them thoroughly. I really trust her to take the best care of my eyes.

Dr Zilkha is perfect. She's smart, kind, beautiful, and attentive. She spends time with each and every patient and she listens to everything you need to say. She explains everything in a clear crystal way. When I first presented I could barely see .... now I have 20/20 vision and am so grateful for her caring attention and incredible treatments

I HAVE BEEN GOING TO DR ZILKHA FOR NEAR 20 YEARS, I AM DIABETIC, FOR A LONG TIME AND SHE KEEPS GREAT WATCH OF MY CONDITION, I NEEDED RETNAL SURG, SOME YEARS AGO AND SHE DID A GREAT JOB WITH ME AND HAS KEPT ON TOP OF MY CONDITION SINCE, WITH NO PROBLEMS. RECENTLY SHE TOLD ME OF SOME WHITE SPOTS SHE SAW ON MY EYES AND THAT SOME TIMES IT CAN MEAN A CAROTIC BLOCKAGE. AND SHE WAS RIGHT, I WILL BE GOING TO SURGERY IN A FEW WEEKS. SHE IS A VERY DEAR PERSON AS WELL AS A GREAT DOCTER. I TRUST HER TO DO THE RIGHT THING FOR ME AND SHE HAS NEVER DISAPPOINTED ME.

Dr Zilkha is excellent, Thorough and treats her patient very very well . She is very kind and thoughtful and keeps you at ease. I would highly recommend her as a doctor

I have been seeing Dr. Zilkha at her previous location on West Islip for 10 years. She is the most comprehensive ophthalmologist I have ever encountered. I have diabetes and she has taken excellent care of my eyes with the use of exams,lasers and compassion. My vision is still 20/20 in both eyes. I only trust my eyes to Dr. Zilkha and I am going to continue to see her in Garden City.

Dr. Zilkha is the most professional and dedicated ophthalmologist I have ever encountered in 40 years. Extremely competent and explains diagnosis and treatment thoroughly. Also very caring,compassionate and comforting. Her group practice office is very busy but worth waiting for her if you can get an appointment.

I have been a patient of Dr. Zilkhas for about three years. I am 42 and have healthy eyes. I originally started going to her because she takes such great care of my mother who has macular degeneration. Dr Zilkha treated her with injections and she has regained her sight! When we have calledll for an emergency visit, dr Zilkha even stays late to see us! I highly recommend her.

Dr Zilkha is the smartest , kindest and most courteous doctor I have ever met. She spends extra time with my wife and myself at all visits and explains every detail of her findings at each exam. My wife has a walker and she even assists her out of the chair! She does not have a telephone in her exam room so I think the previous comment was mDe about someone else! Everyone who knows het recognizes that het bedside manner is the best you could ever encounter!
