Dr. Namyi Yu, MD

HORRIBLE! WAIT TIMES OVER 1 HOUR! I was a patient of Dr Yu from around the end of 2017 until the start of 2021. I do not recommend this doctor or this office AT ALL. I suffer from hypothyroidism and after having my child, I lost almost all the baby weight naturally. Then she lowered the dose of my thyroid medication by MORE THAN HALF, causing me to gain a huge amount of weight (30 lbs) in a very short amount of time (6 weeks). I knew there was something wrong and made an emergency appointment where she just said oops and increased the dose again. During that time I was so big, tired and feeling sick. It took so long to get my thyroid levels back to normal. Once in 3 years I missed an appointment and even volunteered to pay the no-show fee, which I did, and got MAJOR ATTITUDE from the staff and doctor on my next visit. Don't be fooled by the good reviews and her "friendly" demeanor. This is NOT a good doctor and the 2 ladies working in the office are worse.

Dr Yu has such a warm welcoming friendly way about her. She is thorough and isn’t quick to medicate. Her staff is friendly and nice. It is a pleasure going to see Dr Yu she is the best!

My mother 82, has a team for health care providers, Dr Yu by far is the best, she treats the whole patient and is very mindful of age related issues. When she talks with my mom and offers instruction on managing her diabetes she is clear and kind. When we leave an office visit I personally feel confidant that all is in order. All the staff in the practice are beyond perfection. I look forward to taking my mom to Dr Yu, it is an enjoyable experience, and my mom loves her!

Dr. Yu and her staff make going to the doctor an enjoyable experience. Everyone is so nice and friendly, and the wait time is brief or nonexistent. They send me home with a prescription for bloodwork, so before my next appointment I get it done and the results will be there for my appointment. I’ve taken my medication as prescribed and my bloodwork was absolutely perfect! Can’t complain at all. Couldn’t be happier with Dr. Yu and her wonderful staff!

Dr. Yu is a terrific doctor! It is not enough to be very intelligent and knowledgeable, it takes a person who really cares and wants to help you! She takes the time to talk to you, she doesn't rush you out the door or stop you from asking the questions you need answers to!! Dr. Yu goes over everything with you,...,like your bloodtests, and tests from the last visit. She keeps you calm by explaining the results and complimenting you if you are doing well! Which quite honestly feels good!!

Dr. Yu is rated on Zocdoc 4.9 out of 5 stars. With almost 200 reviews. Knowing you cannot fake reviews there without being seen. If it was good enough for me, it should be good enough for you as well!!

She is concerned about me when I see her! Almost no wait time. A great doctor! .

Very kind hearted physician,  definitely not a money hungry physician.  If that were true. she wouldn't close her office for week+ at a time without pay to go overseas on her own dime,  to provide free medical care as she has done in the past. Just a caring human being. Ask her and she will tell you heart warming stories about her going overseas to provide free medical care. Don't believe some inappropriate comments about her.

This is an excellent physician. She is so well suited for this practice in her skills, temperament and thoroughness. Her patient sense and caring is outstanding.
