Dr. Nana Girgis Mcmahon, MD

A friend recommended Dr. McMahon to me when I was having my daughter two years ago. We having been going to her practice since she was born. We have had a great experience going to her practice.

My children love going to see Dr. Nana McMahon!!! She is a wonderful doctor. She has such a nice caring office staff. I would recommend her office very highly.

I am blown away at the positive reviews for this pedatrician. This pediatrician has no boundaries when discussing sensitive topics in front of children, is combative and argumentative while dismissing the uncomfortable enviornment she creates, and will speak about her concerns while ignoring the parent's concerns. In the 15 years of being a parent I have never met a pediatrician who embodied such terrible bedside manners and a air of ignorance. Her staff overall were ok, with occasional attitude but nothing to cause me to switch doctors. After a couple visits with this pediatrican I had to switch, for the first time in my three children's lives I switched their pediatrician due to incompetence instead of distance. I have never had a problem with a doctor in my life, I am still shocked when I think of the things said to me and my children and the ridiculous care they received.

Dr. McMahon has been my 3 children's pediatrician since they were born. She had come highly recommended by a friend. My friend had brought her children to her office and she was very happy with their care. Dr. McMahon and her staff have always provided excellent care. I have always been able to get an appointment when needed and haven't had to wait to long in her waiting room. She always answers all questions and concerns. My children really enjoy going to see her.

She dismissed my symptoms for years. After going to the hospital several times I finally changed doctors. It was the best decision of my life and now I am diagnosed and on the right medication. I would probably be dead if I stayed with her.

Dr. McMahon is a great doctor! She is knowledgeable, caring and thorough. My 3 children all went to her for more than 15 years. They are all grown now but I would recommend her without hesitation. One advantage to her practice is that it is a small practice so you will not see a new physician with each visit as often happens with larger practices. That is a distinct advantage! She will get to know your child very well. She is respectful of both the child and the parent.

Have taken my 4 children to her over the past 15 years. Excellent no-nonsense approach to treating children. Always up front. Listens to my concerns and then acts on them when appropriate. My children know and respect her and even ask to go see her when they are not feeling well. Would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone seeking a pediatrician.

Dr. McMahon was recommended by my OB after I had my second child. We were lukewarm on the pediatrician we had at the time.We haven't looked back. She's been our pediatrician for 15 years, for 3 kids. We've never seen the behavior described in the first post; only professionalism, competence, and a warm but authoritative way of engaging the kids that makes them trust--and like--her. We do, too. I'm sorry Ms. Lewis missed the opportunity for excellent ongoing care for her children. Yes, occasionally there is a long wait; the physician is good, her practice is popular, and she takes time with the kids--and parents--who need it. Including yours.

Dr. McMahon has been my children's pediatrician for years. She is a good listener and has a strong intuitive ability with the children. Her staff are strong communicators. Through years of unexpected experiences, she has supported us physically, emotionally and professionally. My 21 year old still loves her. Thank you, Dr. McMahon
