Dr. Nanci Denise Tucker, MD

Nanci graduated from Brandeis University with a degree in computer science. After working in the computer industry for a short time, it was apparent that medicine was the preferred calling. Nanci attended the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA. While in medical school, she participated in community programs, including Health Care For The Homeless and a student outreach program, Serving the Underserved. She also founded a medical student newsletter, “Borborygmi” and co-created a conference for regional medical students on women in medicine.

Nanci became a Californian in 1990 when she arrived here for her residency at the University of California, San Francisco. These pediatric training years included working in a variety of clinics, mostly at San Francisco General Hospital, including the refugee clinic, the AIDS ward and several months of obstetrics delivering babies. Upon completion of her training in 1994 and through to March, 2016 she practiced in San …Francisco at Stonestown Pediatrics, where she enjoyed watching her pediatric patients grow from newborns to college students. In 2012-2013 she was voted First Place for pediatrician in SF and Marin by Bay Area Parents magazine.
