Dr. Nancy Margaret Bishop, MD

I am thanful to be alive - no thanks to Dr. Nancy Bishop. If I were still under her "care"...I would likely have ovarian cancer. After 5 years as a patient of hers, I was glad she was "moving on". She was very dismissive of my concerns and continually telling me that I was "too young" to discuss hormonal changes. She wouldn't look into the WHY I was experiencing issues. I found a new doctor who took my concerns seriously and found that I had a severe case of uterine dysplasia with pre-cancerous cells, a very large ovarian tumor, and mild endometriosis. I had surgery just 2 weeks ago. At the rate the dysplasia was growing, as well as the ovarian tumor, I would have left my 3 children motherless in 5 years. Thank God, the tumor was still non-cancerous, but because of the complex nature of the tumor, my doctor said it would have become cancerous in less than 5 years. I'm glad I trusted my instincts and left her practice.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Bishop. I went to her to have a biobsy which turned into having to have a surgery, a miscarriage, and a full term pregnancy which ended in a c setion. She has been amazing! She is very caring, supportive, knowledgeable, has great bedside manner, and her staff is excellent. My only complaint is that she can't be my primary physician.:) I would highly recommend her.

I havve irregular periiods my whole life. In fact afterr I had my first one, it was a whole year before I hd another one. ii would tell other doctors aboutt this and they would either it was nnormal for my age, or that I was just infertile. Both of these stateemennts where devestating, and doctor woud help me to understand what was going on I did some research and realized.that I probably had polycystic ovarian syndrome. I told other doctors my suspicions and they still wouldn't help me or discuss treatment. I gave up for awhile. My husband and I where ready to have babies but diidnt what to Do. I read,reviews on Dr. Bishop and made an appointment. I told her my story in with in about 15 minutes she aggreed with my suspicions and we came up with a plan for my husband to get pregnant! We are so excited. After being told so many times that can't have kids with no tests being done, it was so nice to have someone listen and start a treatment.

Dr. Bishop was my wife's ob/gyn during her first pregnancy in 2010. She is a very busy lady so to some she might seem like she is not friendly. But after a couple of visits my wife and I really liked her and she was great during the whole process including delivery and during follow-up. She delivers at Lakeside Women's Hospital which is an awesome place to have a child. Obviously only having one child I have no reference point to other hospitals but the nurses there were top-notch and was better than visiting a large hospital with a bunch of sick patients. Only thing we would change is to have earlier appointments so my wife wouldn't have to miss as much work. Other than that she gets an A from us.

Dr. Bishop is very nice, an excellent physician. She always takes time to talk to me, always has a smile on her face.
