Dr. Nancy Blace, MD

Firstly, Dr. Blace had me wait almost 2 hours in the office room with no one around. Not one assistant even came to check on me. I had thought they forgot I was there. I had to go to the front desk and tell them I was leaving in order to be seen. Secondly, I have a history of eye issues that may be seen as complex to doctors. I have had limited peripheral vision since childhood and have a rare genetic disorder that is still being researched. Many doctors attribute my issues to this or have told me ways I can work at helping myself with my vision issues. Dr Blace did none of the above. It was clear she never heard of my disorder and not only did she try blaming anxiety to my lack of peripheral vision. I do not have anxiety nor depression. She proceeded to be extremely condescending throughout the appointment. She tried suggesting PTSD caused it. She does not know my life story so I was very appalled at this. It was a complete waste of my time and I felt so disrespected. She was stunned… I didn't want contacts...not even what I was there for. I've had glasses all my life and not once had a doctor be so pushy about using contacts other than Blace. Her bedside manner was awful and I felt as if she called me a liar about a documented condition that I have had and cannot possibly make up for over 20 years. Never again. Awful experience and awful doctor. Would not recommend.
