Dr. Nancy Todd Cristoforo, MD

I had a real problem with swelling when I initially saw Dr. Cristoforo, she is in the same practice as my husband's cardiologist and needed to see her pretty quickly. She has absolutely NO bedside manner, she is like a piece of toast as far as personality goes. She seemed to be preoccupied with something but definitely not the patient. It was suggested that I get an Echo Cardiogram and a Doppler for the veins on my ankles and legs. Followed up and got the Echo but never had the vein Doppler because it was inconvenient at the times they wanted me to come. Had a follow up visit with Dr. Cristoforo this morning 5/8/15. Actually I discussed what has been happening healthwise with me for the last month since I saw her, she was quite disinterested in anything but seeing the lab reports and finding nothing interesting. She took my blood pressure. That's it folks, my blood pressure which was normal. She NEVER listened to my heart of touched me in any way during the appointment. Now my regular… GP takes a stethoscope and listens to my heart, takes my pulse and blood pressure as a normal part of the examination. Surely this woman should not be seeing patients if she can't do the basics of her job. What kind of Cardiologist doesn't listen to you heart????? A bad one. I will NEVER EVER return to this doctor. Feel like I want a refund of my $40 copay. A monkey doctor would have done better. So very disappointed in this experience. I want to scream and tell everyone not to use this awful doctor.

aside from a haughty attitude, she didn't offer much explanation of drugs with complications or side effects that could happen. Although I had high blood pressure when I was tested with her, she didn't prescribe anything other than what I've been taking. She shifted it off to my general care doctor, and I am to make an appointment with him. And she's the cardiologist. She then highly suggested I take a drug in the statin category for my cholesterol that I'm allergic to. My opinion is that she's generally interested, and unwilling to be the cardiologist and only wants to see copies of reports. This is very strange! I will definitley not keep my follow up visit. Oh, did I mention I waited over 30 minutes after the office took my ekg. She apologized for being late though.
