Dr. Nancy Davis Donachie, MD

I have gone to Dr Donachie for almost 10 years for treatment of depression and Panic Attacks. If you have ever experienced agoraphobia before you know how scary and shameful you can feel. Dr Donachie is wonderful in that she NEVER trivializes the effect of the panic attack but at the same time is very reassuring that medically you are not hurting yourself physically just your quality of life. I would probably be homebound if it wasn't for her! She is encouraging and very open to switching meds if the one you are on is not working. I'm embarrassed to say I have bothered her in off hours during an attack and she was very prompt in returning my call and never makes you feel guilty bc you have called. She has given numerous suggestions to help ease stress. What I also love is having male drs all my life you can share a female issue medically speaking and really appreciates her relating to you as a female whether it's menapause or some other contributing factor. I know she helps many but if… you are experiencing anxiety problems this is the dr for you!!! Can't rate her high enough!! I wouldn't blame her if she lost patience with my repeated questions of needing reassurance but she has NEVER ONCE been condoscending of my fears or what I am going through!! She encourages getting out of your comfort zone and if you need a little extra meds to help you achieve a goal say flying, going on a cruise or just traveling to see family she will help in anyway she can to help see you succeed and enjoy life!! She was recommended by another dr I saw for anxiety that moved away. I will always believe that recommendation was the greatest gift I could have ever received. You do have to wait to get in to see her but it will be the most rewarding wait of your life!!!
